Show Rules

1. All classes are for general competition


2. Entries on official forms please
3. The greatest care will be taken of exhibits, but the committee will not be responsible for any
loss or damage
4. Any exhibitors desiring to lodge a complaint against any other exhibitors must do so in
writing and a deposit of £5. If the complaint is upheld by the committee (whole decision is
final) the deposit will be refunded.
5. CFS reserve the right to amalgamate classes within the breed and the appoint substitute
judges should this become necessary.
6. Classes can be split if sufficient entries are received.
7. No unauthorised person shall remove exhibits from the pen.
8. No exhibit to be removed before the draw has taken place without the show managers
permissions.

Schedule

Held under the poultry club rules, the poultry club representative will be Mr A Hooper

Prize money will only be paid for best in show, reserve best in show and juveniles.

Show draw will take place around 3pm with presentation of trophies after.

No exhibits to be removed until after the draw.

Entries – we would like to assure fanciers that the most care will be taken to avoid mistakes in
penning. Fanciers are asked not to remove any exhibits at any time without the presence of an
official of the society. Penning cards will be issued to exhibitors on arrival at the show. Closing date
for entries is 6th October.

Club specials, these will not be awarded to exhibitors who fail to indicate on their entry form their
paid up membership, especially the poultry club.

Cups and trophies – last year’s winners please return these for awarding on the show day, we would
appreciate them in clean condition, thank you.

Before entering a poultry gathering, participants must:


• Not enter if the place of origin of the birds is within an of the UK which is under
restrictions relating to notifiable avian disease (including Prevention, Protection
and Surveillance zones)
• Not enter birds that have attended a poultry gathering in the previous 13 days, or if
purchased birds have been brought onto the premises of origin in the past 13 days
• Inspect the health of all birds at the place of origin before departure
• Not move birds if there are any signs, or suspicion of any disease
• Transport birds in clean solid-bottom and sided carriers
• Use clean bedding material at the start of the journey, on the date of departure,
which must be contained within the carrier at all times.

On arrival to the gathering, participants must:


• Present themselves visibly clean, free from faecal, contamination, feathers, or other
bedding matter with unsoiled footwear, or over-boots
• Present a signed declaration, confirming:
o The origin of the poultry is not from within a restricted area
o The identified birds are healthy, and
o They will follow the instructions of the poultry gathering licence
