Good Evening, my name is Arnold and I’ll describe the cases at the problem.

1.1.-CASES:
.COLOMBIA: The first is from Colombia, a girl from Medellin, Antioquia gave birth to a
premature baby by c-section in 2004 at the age of 9 years. Then in 2006 she gave birth
her second child at the age of 11 years.
.Perú: The highest rates of women ever pregnant are observed in the jungle and in
rural areas. Loreto heads the list in this area. It is estimated that 30 of every 100
adolescents in the region are mothers or are pregnant for the first time, the proportion
of adolescent pregnancies at the national level also increases in the most vulnerable
populations as women with primary education and those in the poorest area
.Lambayeque: The pregnant adolescent is the second cause of school dropout in the
Lambayeque region. According to the Demographic and Family Health Survey (ENDES),
in this region, 9.8% of the population of adolescents between 15 and 19 years of age
are pregnant or are mothers.
Now I will explain the servey’s results, we interviewed 200 teenagers between the age
of 15 and 17 , the 45% were women and the 55 %were men. With the respect to the
school, the 60 % were from private school an the 40% were from public school

1.- How much do you think you know about sexual education?
The 66% of the young people surveyed indicated that they knew
enough about sexual education while 18% knew a little or nothing
about it.
2.- How often have you received counseling in sexual education
topics?
the 63% of adolescents indicated that they receive counseling
regularly in sexual education topics.
3.- What do you think the best approach would be when
teaching sexual education topics?
The 54% of the young people surveyed believe that the best
approach to teaching sexual education topics is through informative
talks.
4.- What do you think the consequences would be regarding
lack of sexual education?
the adolescents believe that the lack of sexual education have as
main consequences: unplanned pregnancy (43%) and sexually
transmission infections (29%).
5.- How much importance do you think is given to topics
concerned with sexual education?
The 54% of the young people surveyed believe that the level of
importance given to topics concerned with sexual education is
somewhat important while the 24% believe it is not important.
6.- When you have doubts about topics related to sexual
education, how do you solve them?
The 43% of young surveyed affirmed that they resolve their doubts
about sexual education topics talking to their parents while the 38%
searching information on TV, internet and radio.
7.- What sexually transmitted infections do you know?
According to the surveys carried out the sexually transmitted
infections that adolescents know is AIDS (61%) followed by
syphilis (24%).
8.- What contraceptive methods do you know?
The results show that the contraceptive methods that adolescents
know are preservatives or condoms(47%) and contraceptive
pills(27%).
9.- How often would you like to receive information about
sexual education?
we can see that the 69% of the youth people would like to receive
regularly information about sexual education topics while 27% of
them would like to receive it always.
10.- According to your opinion, what would the best way to
keep a healthy sexual life be?
Most of the surveyed teenagers believe the best way to keep a
healthy sexual life is through using protection (35 %) and having
knowledge of sexual education (29 %).
