Procedure
1. Raise the axles until the strut rods in the suspension cylinders are fully extended.
4. Mark location (F) at each tire. Rotate the tires by 180 degrees.
6. Use Table 1 to determine the correct toe-out when the front wheels are off the ground.

B = F - 48.5 mm (1.91 inch)
7. If the difference that was found in the previous step is not correct, adjust each link assembly by
the same number of turns.
Note: After the adjustment has been made, the tie rods must be of equal length.
Note: Use the following procedure to align the tie rod with the clamp assembly. Failure to correctly
locate the clamp assembly on the tie rod could shorten the service life of the tie rod assembly.

2. Align the open portion of clamp assembly (4) with one of the slots in tie rod (3). Refer to
Illustration 3.
Note: For the proper torque value, refer to Specifications, "Steering Linkage and Cylinder
Mounting".
Note: When the adjustment is correct, there will be a front wheel toe-in when the truck is in normal
operation with correctly charged suspension cylinders.
