: Recommendation for Approval of DPR of Shankhu-Paluwari-Nagarkot Road

We reviewed the design and cost estimates of Shankhu-Paluwari-Nagarkot Road, following comments are
to be corrected by the the consultant and submitted as early as possible.

 Maximum gradient (12%) to be applied no longer than 300 m length ( At ch. 4+950) &
consecutively 150 m length shall be relaxed by easier gradient as stated in the NRRS, DoLIDAR.
Therefore, gradient shall be corrected at required chainages accordingly. Grade compensation
shall also be applied at the curve length. Quantity calculation for extra-widening for base course,
prime coat, tack coat and premix carpeting is not seen included. Quantities shall be calculated
accordingly.
 How pavement thickness was taken is not clear, It should be determined by DCP test data or CBR
value. Also quantity calculation was not done considering extra widening in case of base course,
prime coat, premix carpeting etc
 Need to be corrected as marked in the sheet No 1, 2, 3, 4. 5, 6, 7
 Chainages for bio-engineering is not given. So that shall be incorporated.
 Rate analysis for bio-engineering work items is missing.
 Rate analysis of items need to be corrected as marked in the page 2-17 of rate analysis.
 Specification clause number shall be mentioned in the BoQ sheet where missing.
 Correction shall be done as marked in typical section, Drain Type ‘C’ (sheet No. 3 sketching of
stone in one layer instead of showing two layer for 15 cm thick soling) of Volume-III, Drawing.
 Material availability chainages is missing
