Check List for the Site Verification of Design and Cost Estimates Document

Followings are the check list for the site verification of design and cost estimates document

 Check the high gradient & Hoz. Curve radius provided more than NRRS 2nd Revision Dec.
2014 and verify the respective site location to improve the gradient by stretching the road
length or by any reasonable technique and radius by increasing the curve length at that
location respectively.
 Check the terrain for high filling (approx. more than 3 m) to make the road stable so that
in the gentle slope of hill, the road will be certainly stable by giving the retaining structures.
 Check the cross-section for ground level matching or not.
 Check the retaining structures designed by the soft programme which actually realistic or
not for the site.
 Check for preferring the Tick type drain wherever possible in the view of cost effective,
otherwise follow other typical type suitably.’
 Check the any unsuitable soil (week soil like black/white cotton or other if any) seen on
along any stretch of carriage way for the purpose of applying capping layer to strength
pavement.
 Check for the quarry of availability of materials adjacent to along the alignment of the road
for reducing the cost of the project avoiding more lead.
 Check the Geological map along road alignment for classification of soil of the road
alignment.
 Check proposed bio-engineering work sites realistic or not to safeguard the climate
change recycling issues.
