Their teenage life was different from ours. They said that they used to speak in person

often rather than talking/chatting using the devices. Mobile devices and internet

connectivity aren’t as demanding these days; hence they don’t have any choices but to

talk in person.

Serenading is a serious choice if they want to court a girl. Most men used to be good

singers back then. In fact, most men can play instruments so that they can court their

girl once they are ready for coupling. Today, courting is very easy, but seems to be

effortless. A simple chat and a wave, you can quickly flirt with the girl you like. It is easy,

but the worth is low. My parent still recommends old style of courting because it is a

symbol of true lovemaking.

My parents’ generation used to suffer from insufficient resources. My parents don’t

suffer from these troubles because they are great entrepreneurs, but the people in their

generation do. My tito and tita always say we are lucky because our generation have

lots of available resources. Long ago, my parents cannot cook sinigang without planting

the ingredients, but today it is easy to cook sinigang because we only need to buy the

ingredients in the market.

Normally, they also suffered from love problems. Of course, they also suffered these

because they have undergone the adolescence phase.
