INSTALLATION TIPS
Tools Required: Various screwdrivers; staple gun with 8mm staples, 3' long, stiff wire (to thread side cables), pliers
& drill, contact cement spray adhesive (e.g. 3M Super Yellow), rubber mallet.

TOP REMOVAL

1A Lift side quarter rubber seal

to access screws to remove
metal strips.

1B 2001-2006 models only, remove

side upper metal rubber strips

2-3 Unscrew and remove

header cover, lift inner
cover to access and remove
staples

4-5 Peel back front edge, remove back

end of cable first and slide cable
out of side pockets.

6-7 Detach and unscrew

to remove top plastic
attachments from cross bows.

8 Detach defrost connection

from glass and remove from
pocketed sleeve.

9-10 Remove top rear lower base nuts

and end screws to free from vehicle.

11-12 Mark original positions on metal tacking

strip and peel off top section only.

13-14 Detach window upper attachment by

removing end locking screws.

TOP INSTALL

15-16 Staple rear edge of new top on to metal tacking

strip and cut-out bolt opening holes.

17 Attach under window

inner bracket.

18-19 Start to install window section,

upper attachment first then lower
edge and defrost wire.

20 Apply Black or Silver tape on each

end of rear bow.

21-22 Attach top plastic

attachments on cross bows
with center locking screws.

23-24 Insert side cables from front of top side pockets

and screw in back end with spring to frame.

25-26 Apply contact cement by spray to top front corner flaps and frame,
after five minutes dry time attach corner to frame.

27-28 Apply contact cement across top and

frame, after dry time attach together
equally and trim off excess material.

29 Completely close
top and lock front
latches.

30-32 Apply contact cement to side quarter

flaps and frame, after dry time attach
together and trim off excess material.

33-34 Locate screw holes and attach side metal rubber strips.

35 Attach front header cover.
