Conclusion

Any object or substance that is capable of carrying infectious organism hence


transmiting them from one individual to other.It can be noted that bacterial
contamination were at high level. It will be need to discuss and to control
these bacterial contamination on environmental level which favours the
growth and multiplication of microbes easiely. Most people do not touch dirty
material in fear of getting contact with harmful microbes. But they do not
know those objects which are regularly usings like door handles , elevator
button are more dangerous than the they are avoiding.

Most importance is proper regular cleaning of the hands after touching


handles and elevator buttons. From this study we find some single colony or
mixed colony. There are total 183 door handles and elevator buttons ASB
were most common bacteria isolate from door handles .

ASB were also most common bacteria isolate from elevator buttons. Most
common pathogenic bacteria were ASB 177 (97%), S. aureus 23 (42%), CONS
26 (47%), Klebsiella11 (6%), Micrococcus 5 (3%), Enrococcus 4 (2%),
Acinetobacter 4 (2%).

Elevator buttons of hospital were more pathogenic as compared to


elevator buttons of department.

Percentage ratio of klebsiella and CONS both were high in hospital


elevator buttons. MICU’s is more contaminated as comparison to other
ICU’S.

Female surgery ward and TB and chest ward shows no growth of


CONS, Staphylococcus aureus, etc
