Quick Reference Guide

The laser imager’s display screen shows status and error information.
NOTE: This example screen shows the location of each symbol. When operating, the
imager displays different combinations of these codes and symbols to communicate
the status. For more information, see the User Manual.

Description Normal Action

state
Film count On Displays the film count for upper/lower film cartridges. When 0 displays, replace the
empty cartridge.
Indicator light On/green Green—Indicates the active film cartridge, for example, when printing.
Amber—There is an issue with the indicated film supply, such as a jammed film.
Power On/green Green—Ready to print. The symbol flashes during printing.
Amber—Not ready to print. Wait or correct the condition.
Status or Off This guide provides a list of the codes and how to respond. See page 2.
Error code If a print job requires a different film size and/or type from the loaded films, the
requested size and type displays along with the Film size symbol (see below). For
mammography film, an M displays in front of the film size, B indicates the blue base
film, and C indicates clear base film. Load the requested film size and type.
Film size Off If on, the print job requires a different film size and/or type than the currently loaded
film. Load the requested film size/type to continue printing.
You can also press this symbol for three seconds, until the imager beeps twice, to
cancel all pending print jobs that require an unavailable media size and/or type.
Calibrate or On/blue Blue—Calibration might be needed if the symbol is on and code 624, 631, or 632
Test print appears. Press the symbol to calibrate the upper or lower film cartridge.
Amber—There was an issue with the calibration. Press the Calibrate symbol to
manually calibrate. Depending on the issue, you may be able to keep printing (631 or
632 error), or it might be necessary to load a different film cartridge (624 error).
To make a test print, press the Calibrate symbol for three seconds until the imager
beeps twice. The test print varies depending on the type of film.
Pause Off If the symbol is on, the film cartridge cover is open. To avoid exposing the film to light,
do not open the film supply door until the symbol turns off. Press the symbol to close
the film cartridge cover, and then wait for the symbol to turn off.
Note: The symbol is on while processing images, etc.
Restart Off If the symbol is on, you must restart. Press the imager’s power switch off, and then
on. The power switch is on the lower back of the imager.
Film jam Off If the symbol is on, film is jammed. Check the error code to locate the jam and
remove the jammed film. See page 2.
Maintenance Off If the symbol is on, maintenance is required. Check the error code:
• 449—Replace the filter. (See the User Manual.) After replacing the filter, reset
the imager: press and then release the Maintenance symbol and either Calibrate
symbol at the same time.
• 550—Call a qualified service provider for preventive maintenance.
