Warning!
Do not use Filter Masks on tankers (all types)
Refer to the technical safety guidance on Filter Masks in the Safety Management Manual.

Caution:
(A) Tinted lens safety glasses recommended for day time operations or where lights levels are higher than normal requiring a greater level of UV protection
(B) Yellow lens safety glasses recommended to improve contrast sensitivity during night time operations or in areas where natural light levels are low.
(C) Cryogenic Gauntlets required for use at manifold when connecting / disconnecting cargo lines / hoses
(D) Wire hooks may also be used when handling razor wire to limit physical contact and significantly reduce the risk of injury to crew
(E) Ensure personnel wear insulated gloves, leather aprons and full face visors when hot cargoes such as asphalt are handled.
(F) Issue cartridges for half-filter masks considering the harmful nature, type and concentration of the particles/ vapours in the atmosphere. Always follow manufacturers instructions and Material Safety Data Sheet guidance relevant to the hazardous
substance exposed to.
(G) Required for use at manifold when connecting / disconnecting cargo lines / hoses
(H) Refer to Polar Code Manual for full details of PPE required in polar conditions
