When I get up I’m so excited to fix myself and get ready to my first duty in people’s bank
at Public Mall Drive San Roque. Of course Im so excited because this is my first day to work
with the employees there. My morning is beautiful but nothing is special but Im happy starting
today. When I enter the bank I greeted all employees that are available there. They were smiling
at me and I went to the manager’s room because Ma’am Uly called me. She told me that I’ll be
assign at cashier’s room but she changed her mind and she assigned me to Loan department area.
They were all smiling at me and I smiled at them too. So I sit down and waiting for someone to
tell me what I’m going to do but before that I arrange the papers available there at my table
where I’m sitting. I feel comfortable because even though were just OJT students with my
classmate, we have our own table to do our task.

Sir Felmin was assign to that area where I am sitting and he arrives at 8:30. He ask me that how
many hours our curriculum requires for our training and I tell him that it is 360 hours and we if
didn’t finish that by the end of our class we will have our INC grade. After that long
conversation with Sir Felmin, the bookkeeper “Ma’am JJ” called me and ask me to do the filling
of transactions today and I answered okay Ma’am while smiling. So when I do that task, I check
those names who loan here at the People’s Bank and the amount of money. I have the straw,
scissors, tape and the puncher for me to use to bind the transactions. All materials that I need are
available here at office so it’s not difficult for me to do the task. While doing that, We have still
our conversation with Sir Felmin about my school, life and about here at People’s bank and he
asked me if I’m an accountancy student because People’s bank is hiring now an accountancy
graduates. I tell him that I’m a third year student taking up Bachelor of Science in Business
Administration Major in Financial Management. Ma’am JJ was his daughter which is the
bookkeeper.

I meet Nanay beth and she talks to me about a lot of things. She is the janitress of that bank. She
is so kind and she helps me when I’m too busy doing a lot of things. I cannot hear her
murmuring when others staff there has many things for Nanay Beth to do and she was trying do
all things she can. Later on, Sir Mark called me and asked me if I know how to encode and I said
yes. He gives me the task to encode the names of the members who join the coop. Of course I
have my classmate with me but we have our different task all day long but we are assign at the
same department.

It’s my second day. It’s like my normal day but I’m still happy because I wake up and
God gave me my precious life that no one can give. I took a bath I ate my breakfast and get ready
to go to People’s Bank. Today’s morning, I was told to transfer account balances to the book of
account. I was computing and writing the debit, credit and balance of Income statement and also
the balance sheet. I have something to confuse while doing it, I will just ask Sir Felmin about it
and it will be solved. This day was the meeting of the staffs together with the collectors and the
manager so this day is not that busy day.

I’m just sitting at my desk and waiting again that someone will ask me to do something. While I
don’t do anything, I get my book of my Civil Service Reviewer and study. Sir Freems called me
and I went to his assign area and ask what it is. He told me to go to copy movers and tell
someone there to get the rims of that one copy while lending it to me. It was funny at first when I
was about to pick up a motor cab, the driver asked me where is that copy movers is located and I
don’t know because I’m from Aloran and I was only having here my boarding house. The driver
told me, to pick up another motor cab. Finally that driver knows where that located is. I’m here
at copy movers and tell that one worker to do the rims of that one copy and he asked me where is
this come from and I said it was from the People’s bank. It took me thirty minutes there to wait
because they have their customers not just two to three but I will tell it was so many and its hot
in there but I have to wait.

I’m wearing my OJT uniform and it looks me like I’m working at the bank. Someone ask me if I
work there at People’s Bank, I smiled when that person asks me that and I told him that I’m an
OJT student and he smiled. After thirty minutes, I went back to People’s Bank. I have the rims
with me and the change of money. I gave that to Sir Freems and thank me a lot and I said you’re
welcome sir, anytime. That’s it. It was already afternoon, and I’m happy while Nanay Beth gave
me a piece of bread while saying that I know you’re hungry and I refuse to receive it and she said
get this, this snacks is all for you who work here especially to the collectors. I thank her for her
kindness.
