Title: Music Therapy


Descriptive: Music Therapy, is the use of music interventions that provides an avenue for
communication that can be helpful to those who find it difficult to express themselves in
words.

General Objective:
After 30 minutes of music therapy, patient will be able to improve their general health and well-
being as well as be able to fully express their thoughts and feelings through the use of music
Specific Objectives:
Within the course of therapy, the patient will be able to:

Cognitive
 Relax their mind
 Be able to sing
Affective
 Allow the patient to express their inner thoughts and feelings upon singing
 Improve their general mood and relieve stress
 Improve their self-concept
 Enhance interpersonal relationship with the patient
 Successful and safe emotional release
Psychomotor
 Improve lung expansion and reduce risks of possible asthma
 Improves alertness by delivering more oxygen to the brain

Evaluation
Before:
Patient verbalized “oh ari namo mag music therapy nata participate mo, mo kanta pud” the patient
helped us gather other patients to participate the therapy
During:
Patient verbalized “request kog kanta , PARE MAHAL MO RAW AKO” he selected that song because
he was once in love and got separated
After:
SN: unsa man imong gi bati paghuman sa atong music therapy?
P: happy, nakaka relaxed sa aking isipan,
Description:
He was able to participate the therapy. Able to express his emotions and feeling through music. His
way of soothing agitation and alleviate sadness he’ll gather different good looking student nurses
and sang to them. After singing his song. We observe that he keeps on picking that song “PARE
MAHAL MO RAW AKO” every time we do music therapy and he’s being relaxed after singing the song
and able to be confident and friendly in talking to students nurses about his experiences in life.
