ARTICLE 1179.

Every obligation whose performance does not depend upon a future or uncertain event
is demandable at once. Every obligation which contain a resolutory condition shall also be
demandable without prejudice.
Pure Obligation- one w/c is not subject to any condition and no specific date mentioned
Conditional Obligation- one whose consequences are subject in one way or another to fulfill condition
Condition- a future and uncertain event
Suspensive Condition- will give rise to the obligation, no preexisting condition. Demandablility of the
obligation is sunpended until the happening of the uncertain event
Resolutory- obligation is terminated until the fulfillment of obligation
ARTICLE1180. When the debtor binds himself to pay when his means permit him to do so, shall be
deemed with a period.
Period- a future and certain event w/c the obligation subject to it either arises/terminated
ARTICLE1182. When the fulfillment of the condition depends upon the sole will of the debtor-VOID.
But if theres pre-existing obligation, condtition lng ung VOID.
EG. “I will pay you after I receive a loan from a bank.”
Conjunctive- all must be fulfilled- AND
Disjunctive- some must be fulfilled- OR
Supensive tas soley on the DEBTOR- VOID
Suspensive tas solely on the CREDITOR- VALID
Resolutory solely on debtor- Valid though its fulfillment is upon the sole will of the debtor basta
matapos ung obligation
Protestative Condition- a condition suspensive in nature and depends upon sole will of the parties
