The bee is a stinging winged insect which collects nectar and pollen, produces wax and
honey, and lives in large communities.

Millions honey bees are disappearing globally due to pesticides, parasites, disease
and habitat loss.

La abeja es un insecto con alas que pica el néctar y el polen, produce cera y miel
y vive en grandes comunidades.

Millones de abejas están desapareciendo a nivel mundial debido a pesticidas,

parásitos, enfermedades y pérdida de hábitat.

Pollination is the vital process in flowering plant reproduction involving the transfer
of pollen grains from the anther

This transfer of pollen can be done by the wind, birds, bats, mammals and of
course insects; one of the most important of these are the honey bees that
pollinate on a huge commercial scale. All sorts of fruit and vegetables are
pollinated by honey bees, such as broccoli and squash, apples and almonds.

La polinización es el proceso vital en la reproducción de plantas con flores que

implica la transferencia de granos de polen desde la antera.

Esta transferencia de polen puede ser hecha por el viento, aves, murciélagos,
mamíferos y por supuesto insectos; Una de las más importantes son las abejas

Bees are vital for the preservation of ecological balance and biodiversity in nature. They
provide one of the most recognisable ecosystem services, i.e. pollination, which is what
makes food production possible. By doing so, they protect and maintain ecosystems as
well as animal and plant species, and contribute to genetic and biotic diversity.

Las abejas son vitales para la preservación del equilibrio ecológico y la

biodiversidad en la naturaleza. Proporcionan uno de los servicios ecosistémicos
más reconocibles, es decir, la polinización, que es lo que hace posible la
