Major Scales: Set Three

This page introduces an alternative to the standard

scale positions presented within the previous pages.
These forms distribute the scale tones over a wider
span of frets. This allows the placement of passing
tones and alternative scales (Dorian, Mixoldian) within
the scale structure. Thus providing easy access in and
out of these scale forms. These forms are movable up
the guitar fingerboard. In addition to the indicated finger
positions the "Root" notes are shaded. Each scale
covers a full two octave range.
