Equal Work, Unequal Salary

I chose this image because this image speaks for itself. Many Pilipino tend to go abroad because of the
bigger salary that they can get from other country. This is because our government employee’s salary is not
enough for them. They have families that have needs. Here in Philippines, you work hard for what you do but
the salary that you might get is not even close to the people who work abroad that has the same work as you
do. This is also the reason why Pilipino workers in the Philippines are getting smaller and smaller. Some
people also go abroad because they have the skills that is the same that the employee abroad has. But the
only difference is the salary that they get. For example, in America. If you work in America as a fast-food staff
you might get $9.13 per hour for 8 hours shift and if converted to Peso is ₱469.96 per hour, unlike here in the
Philippines, the fast-food staff has only an average salary of ₱60.00 per hour for 8 hours shift. They have the
same work and duty but they have different rewards/salary. That’s why Pilipino people struggle and suffer
because of these difference that is still now unresolved.
