IMPACTS OF GADGET ADDICTION

We face a high-tech era that can be both
beneficial or dangerous for humans. But we can't deny
that nowadays, technology really helps people to make
life become easier. One proof of technological
sophistication inherent in human life is a gadget. People
can use gadgets for call and send messages to other
people, watch videos from every country on Youtube,
read an e-book, or make friends from social media.
It is not uncommon for humans to consider
gadgets to be very important and become their valuable
things, because gadgets really help human life. Most
Americans usually spend more than 11 hours a day in
front of their gadget screens either for personal use or
work-related activities. Although there are many
advantages in the era of the gadget revolution, it makes
people always thirsty for information.
Besides being useful for humans, gadget can also
have a negative impact if it used excessively. The impact
of gadget addiction is as dangerous as drug addiction.
One of the biggest effects of gadget addiction is visual
impairment. Children who are addicted to gadgets will
be more at risk of developing myopia. The next impact is
children will lose empathy for fellow human beings

since they have lack time to socialize. Lately children
spend more time to use their gadgets, so that they have
less time to socialize with their surroundings.
The excessive usage of gadget is dangerous for
our health. People who often use earbuds, they are more
susceptible to hearing disorder such as reduced ability to
hear high frequency sounds. Addiction to gadgets also
causes obesity. Someone can spend hours when they find
something interesting on their gadget. It makes them
tend to be lazy to move.
Today, many teenagers that more concerned with
life in their virtual world. Social media is one of the
factors that erode a teenager's confidence because what
they usually see is mostly the glamorous life that others
show. Young generation who are at greater risk of
internet/ social media addiction will be more prone to
depression problems than their non-addicted friends.
One solution to reduce internet usage or gadgets
for children is the presence of Parental Control Devices.
With that devices, parents can control and manage their
children activity during use the gadgets. So they can
create a safe online environment for their kids.
Actually, an important key to controlling
ourselves so we don’t get caught up in technology
addiction is self-awareness. When we use technology
wisely, we will also get a lot of positive things. The
development of technology is very beneficial for
humans, but on the other hand, it can damage human life
if they use it excessively.

 SOME FACTS ABOUT K-DRAMA

K-Drama is very popular, Many teens from all
over the world really like K-Drama. There are even
teenage boys who like it too. There are so many reasons
why all people very like it too. Many international K-
Drama fans are addicted that they cant wait until the next
episodes and many people from the western world like to
watch Korean dramas just because the plots and the
storyline are different from they are used to. Also some
of K-Drama are easy to understand and relatable in daily
life and some of K-Dramas provide a life learning on
every each of episodes.
Besides that, Some of K-Drama have
unpredictable plots so the viewers always curious and
cant wait for the next episodes. Other than that, there are
still many interesting facts. For example like people can
learn korean vocabulary like the words, phrases, and
Hangul, they can absorb information about a different
culture by watching the day life of the characters. They
can see all traditional food like Ramen, Bibimbap,
Bulgogi, and other else.
Other facts are every K-Dramas have their own
original soundtrack from different artists, and there are
so many genres in K-Drama like historical, fantasy,
science, fiction, action, romance, and many other drama
genres. For the episodes, its around 16-20 episodes. For

the duration, its around 1-2 hour per episodes. Besides
that, we can catch interesting moments like funny
moments, cute moments, and creepy moments.
What I like about K-Drama is The characters,
plots, and settings in K-Dramas feel new, different, and
more exciting. Also i usually watch K-Drama legally on
Viu, Hulu, DramaFire, DramaGo, and many other sites.
It is so fun and interesting.

The moon is the only natural earth satellite. The
moon is the fifth largest planet in the solar system. The
moon is the largest natural satellite in the solar system
according to the size of the planet it orbits. The diameter
of the moon is 27%. The density of the moon is 60%.
The mass of the moon is 1/81 (1.23%) from earth. The
moon is the second most densely populated satellite after
jupiter's satellite. The moon is in synchronous rotation
with the earth. The moon always shows the same side on
earth. The moon is the brightest celestial body after sun.
The moon looks very white and bright from the
earth. Actually the surface of the moon is dark. Moon's
brightness level is slightly higher than liquid asphalt.
The influence of the moon's gravity can cause tides in
the ocean. The moon can affect the length of day on
earth. The orbital distance of the moon from the current
earth is about thirty times the diameter of the earth. The
size of the moon that appears in the sky is almost as
large as the size of the sun. The moon can cover the sun
and cause a total solar eclipse. The linear distance of the
moon from the earth is currently increasing at a rate of
3.82 more than 0.07 cm every years. The moon is the
only celestial object other than earth that has been landed
by humans.

B. SIMPLE PAST TENSE
MY FIRST VACATION TO BALI

On 9th grade of Junior High School, my school
held a tour to Bali Island and Batu City. The teacher
asked the students to choose between that two choices.
The costs for each of those tourist destination were
certainly different. And I decided to choose Bali for my
destination. The night before the day of departure, I had
prepared many things. My parents also advised me to
take care of myself because it was the first time I went to
a quite far place. The next day, I went to school at dawn.
There were some buses lined up on my schoolyard. After
all students had arrived, we started our trip to Bali at half
past six in the morning.
This was when my long and exciting trip began.
First, the committee, which also our teachers gave us rice
box for breakfast. Our bus stopped at the rest area of gas
station. We had breakfast there. Around 8 a.m, we
continued our trip. Our bus drove pretty fast. We enjoyed
our trip. During that time, we sang, joked, and ate snacks
to get rid our boredom. When the Zuhr prayer time
arrived, our bus stopped again at a large restaurant in the
region of Banyuwangi. There we were told to had lunch
and took prayer. There is a funny little story when my
friends and I went to the toilet. The six of us used 3
different toilets. When we came out of the toilets
suddenly there was an officer guarding the toilet and we

just found out that we had to pay when using the toilet.
Unfortunately we got off the bus without carrying a
wallet or cellphone. Finally we borrowed money from
our teacher who was walking past the toilet.
The breaktime was over, we left Banyuwangi.
Then, we arrived at Ketapang Harbour. We got off the
bus and boarded with the huge ferry. That was my first
time used ferry, and I felt amazing. I enjoyed the view of
the blue sea and the very cool air on the edge of the ferry
deck. About an hour later we arrived at Bali and returned
to the bus. Our trip to the hotel took a long time around 3
hours, and we arrived at the hotel at 7 p.m. When we got
there, we were immediately treated to a buffet meal. We
had dinner. After that, we went to each room to take a
bath and sleep. The next day, we were invited to take
part in the morning exercise. Then we had breakfast at a
hotel restaurant.
On our first day trip in Bali, we went to a gift
shop called Karang Kurnia. There were lots of cheap
items, such as shirt, key chain, wallet, and etc. I bought a
shirt and some key chains. After that, we went to
Tanjung Benoa beach. There was very hot, so I decided
to buy a sunglasses. Unfortunately, I lost my sunglasses
when we had lunch. There was a sad experience when I
was left alone. In our group there were 6 people,
including me. 2 of my friends went to Turtle Island, and
3 others took a small boat around the beach. I didn’t go
because I didn’t have enough money. When they

returned, they bought me food and ice cream to cheer me
up.
Our next destination was Joger. We went there by
shuttle bus Komotra. Joger is a shopping paradise for
domestic and foreign tourists who visiting Bali. There
were lots of beautiful souvenirs and unique t-shirts and
sandals. From there, we crammed into public
transportation and went to our bus parking lot. Because it
was too crowded, my friend and I got a seat near the
door that was always open, I felt a little afraid to imagine
if I fell down.
The last destination that day was Kuta Beach. I
met many tourists there. The thing that surprised me was
that all food and beverage sellers could spoke English.
At that time we walked around the beach, took many
good photos, and bought snacks. We closed our trip that
day by watching a fabulous Kecak dance and colossal
drama performance in Garuda Wisnu Kencana. Next, we
had dinner in the restaurant inside the hotel again and
then took rest.
The next day, that was the last day we toured
Bali. Of course, we had breakfast in our hotel again. Our
first destination on the second day was Bedugul Lake.
When I arrived at that place, I immediately fell in love
with the scene there. The air there was so fresh and cool,
I liked everything about Bedugul Lake. In the middle of
the lake, we saw a temple called Ulun Danu Beratan.
Near the lake, there were many gift shops with an
affordable price. After that, we went to Sukawati Market

which was known as a cheap souvenir paradise. When
entered the main gate, there were temples and large
banyan tree that was sacred, our tour guide said that we
must said hello when we passed that place. It made a
mystical aura at the main gate very pronounced. Our tour
guide also said we must bargained anything that we will
bought there, so that we can get a cheap ones.
That day, we had lunch in the bus because the
limit of the time. We continued our trip to Tanah Lot.
There were famous cave of the holy snake and coral
island. We can watched a traditional/ religious
ceremony. And after that, we arrived at our last
destination. Lovina beach was our last destination. We
were so lucky because we can saw dolphins swimming
and jumping in the middle of the sea. I was very excited
at the time, so I shouted loudly to call dolphins and
ended up laughed at by my friends. And once again I
was so lucky, I was able to watch a beautiful sunset on
the beach with a view of a sailboat passing and the
twilight sky which was reddish orange. My friend
captured the photo and it became a wonderful photo
because the time she used to take pictures was very
precise.
Finally we left Bali, we all knew that visited Bali
would be unforgettable experience for us. We had dinner
on the way home. Then, we took a ferry from Gilimanuk
port. Our trip was delayed for an hour due to bad
weather. When we arrived in Banyuwangi, we all fell
asleep. All of us were awakened by our teacher for

We had breakfast in the gas station. In the end, we
arrived at school. We all said thanks to the bus driver
who drove us during the trip. We were welcomed by our
parents and returned home with many stories and
interesting souvenir that were ready to be shared with
our family.

 MY LAST VACATION

I want to tell you about my last vacation. I went
to Kebun Teh Wonosari. I went to that place with one of
my best friends. Her name is Vanya. We went there on
21st of January 2019. It was 3 months ago. We went
there at around 09.00 am and we arrived at around 11.00
a.m. Actually we can arrived at 10.30 a.m but there was
a traffic jam so we late. Then after we arrived, we saw a
beautiful view and cool sensation of tea garden. We
were so surprised and couldnt stop saying “MasyaAllah
it is so beautiful!”. After that, we paid for the ticket. The
ticket price was 16k/person. It was a little bit expensive
because we went there at holiday. The normal ticket
price is 12k/person. Then, we parked our motorbikes in
the parking area. After that, the first activity that we did
is take a look the place and walk around slowly and saw
so many interesting area.
Then, we decided to go to the Bukit Kuneer.
Bukit Kuneer was our main purpose when we arrived.
We thought that our duration trip to Bukit Kuneer was
not take a long hours and not too tired. But the reality, it
was not like that. When we were there, we walked
almost over an hour and we were so tired. The road was
very rocky, uphill, and it was quite long road. We took a
rest several times in the middle of our trip. But it was not
just the two of us. Every visitors felt that, so we were not
alone haha. After 1 hour we walked, finally we arrived
in Bukit Kuneer. We thought that Bukit Kuneer is pretty

quiet but the reality was not like that. It was very
crowded and so many people in there. Moreover, there
was a beautiful bridge spot. So it was crowded of course.
So my friend and i just took a picture on the edge
of the bridge. It was sad but we tried to enjoy the
coldness of tea garden instead of take a picture. We were
so grateful at that time, we talked and we enjoyed the
beautiful view. After that, we walked down again to
cameback for the lunch and prayed. We had lunch in
pujasera and we chose noodles for our lunch. The reason
was we didnt have so much money so we just ordered it.
In the middle of oour lunch, it rained suddenly. It was so
heavy. So we had to stay in pujasera before we went
home. We waited for 2 hours and then we went home at
04.00 p.m. So we arrived to our home at 06.30 a.m. It
was tired but it was fun too.

 My Experience When I Went to Teluk
Asmara Beach

I went to the Teluk Asmoro Beach last week. I
went with my friends. We went to the Teluk Asmoro
Beach by motorcycle. In the beach, i saw very beautiful
view and interesting spot. But, the beach very crowded
because it was a holiday. Actually, I didn’t like busy
places. It made me bored. But my friends invited me to
join with them, and I was followed them. I was invited
to sit under a three by them. The first time we just took
some pictures in the beach. And the second I was pulled
by my friends to the water, so i was wet. After that i
played water and sand with them until evening. The
next, we ate together under a three. The last time we
came back to our boarding house. But , but when we
were on the way to the bording house, I fell from my
motorcycle. Actually, I was not injury but I was so shy.
It was my unforgettable experience.

C. SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

PLANS TO SPEND EID HOLIDAY

After fasting for 30 days, all Muslims must be
happy to wait for the arrival of Eid Mubarak. Actually I
have a plan to spend my Eid holiday in Tangerang, but I
don’t have enough money so I can’t go there. I have
many backup plans to spend Idul Fitri day, in case I
can’t go to Tangerang.
On the first day, I’m going to take Eid prayer in
Rampal field with my family as usual. After that, I’m
going to visit my neighbor’s houses because they are my
nearest kins. Then, my family and I will have some rest.
In the afternoon, I’m going to visit my closest relatives
who live in Malang City. If possible, I will eat delicious
meatballs near my relative's house. Usually my family
and I eat there when I go to my relative’s house.
On the second day, I’m going to visit my
relatives who live in Malang Regency. We will be there
from morning till afternoon because the trip usually
takes a long time. I can’t wait to see my nieces. I have 5
nieces who live in Malang regency. After we done, we
will relax at home and welcome the guests who come.
The next day, my family and I will probably go
to Blitar Regency, my father’s hometown. I can do a lot
of things there, from visiting distant relatives, playing

with my nieces and nephews, traveling to new places,
and eating special foods that are only there. I like the
scenery of green field near my grandpa’s house. I can
spend hours for enjoying the scenery there. We usually
stay for one or two nights there. After that, we’re going
to return home. For the 4th day, I will just take a walk
with my friends. Sometimes I stay at home and wait for
my friends to come. That’s all my plans to spend Eid
holiday.

MY PLANS FOR COUNTRY’S NEXT NATIONAL
HOLIDAY

Hello, i want to write my plans about the next
national holiday. The next national holiday is when Eid
Mubarak. So, my first plan will go to other city
,Tulungagung especially to my grandmother’s home. Its
around 101 km from Malang and it will takes 3 hours for
the duration of trip. Every year, my big family always go
there. We will meet, gathered, greet each other, have
fun, and have banquet. We always do this every Eid
Mubarak comes. Then, for the next plan is we will go to
Jalasutra Beach.
Jalasutra Beach is located on Wates, Blitar. I
heard that the beach is so beautiful and its amazing. I’m
so excited and i can’t wait for it. If i go there, i will take
some pictures, swim, make a palace from sand, and have
fun. Then, the next plan is we will go to Karangkates
Dam.
Karangkates Dam is located on Sumberpucung,
Malang. The location is in the division between Malang
and Blitar. We went there when i was child. So, it was a
very long time ago and im a little bit forget it. If i go
there, i will take so many pictures with my family, i will
try a flying fox, and try other facilities on it. After that,
maybe we will go to other city again. We will go to
Kediri especially to my aunt’s home. I really like to go
there because the village atmosphere is very strong and

the people are so friendly. Its good to take away from
the city atmosphere.
If my family go there, we will visit our relative’s
home, we will greet each other, and have banquet. It will
fun, i swear. Besides that, my aunt will take me to her
agricultural field. Its her wealth because her family can
earn some money from it. She has two kind of field, its
corn and rice plant.
I cant wait to see it. After that, my cousin will
take me to tourism place in Kediri like Simpang Lima
Gumul and Gunung Kelud. Im so excited for that. If i go
there, i will take so many pictures and upload it to
instagram haha, and hopefully i will visit another
attractive tourims place instead of Simpang Lima Gumul
and Gunung Kelud. After that, maybe we will go to
Surabaya.
Im so rare to go to Surabaya because the weather
is pretty different than Malang. We will go to Surabaya
to meet our relatives family. We will go to their home,
greet each other, have banquet, and others. Just like the
tradition of Ied Mubarak. I hope i can spend my holiday
with fun and i will not forget it. I think thats all of my
plans for the next national holiday. Thank you.

THE PLAN OF THE NATIONAL HOLIDAY

I will go to Jember in the last of fasting on the
next national holiday. I will go there with my family. We
will go by car. In jember,we will visit my grand mother’s
house. We will have lunch together with our big family. I
will be happy because i will meet my grand mother. My
grand mother stay in east kalimantan. So, she will come
back to jember on the last of the fast. My family always
have assembled in jember every years. We will meeting
about anything else. For the example are about legacy,
planning on vacation, or about them selves.
After lunch , I will go to my best friend’s home.
Actually, i very miss her. But we are so far. She lived
near from my grandmother’s house. I will go there just
alone. I will go by motorcycle. I am going to spend my
evening with my best friend.
In the second day of eid al-fitr, I will go to
Banyuwangi for vacation in my uncle’s home We will go
to shopping , go to beach , and some places for vacation.
We are going to spend our holiday for happiness together
with big family . I will come back to Pasuruan in the fifth
from eid al-fitr and go to malang after next 2 weeks.

Our Activity when Waiting for the Fast Breaking
Time

Before I start my story, let me introduce myself and
my family. My name is Nanda, I'm the last child in my
family. My mother's name is Wiwik, she is a tutor. My
father's name is Ruswanto, he is a laborer. I have one
sister, her name is Rizka.
Today is 4 o'clock in the evening.
I wanna tell you about what my family
and I are doing now. First is my mom.
The fast breaking time is about to
come. My mom becomes the busiest
person in our house right now. She is cooking in the
kitchen. She is making vegetable soup, fried chicken,
and 5 cups of tea.
On the other hand,
my father is cleaning our
motorcycle. He is also
listening to the radio.
That's his hobby. Next is
my sister. She is playing with our neighbor's
cat. She really likes cat. She hopes someday she can pets
her own cat. In my house, I live with my grandpa too. He
is watching tv right now. His favorite channel is Indosiar.

 The last is my activity. In
the evening before Maghrib, I
usually feel sleepy. To get rid of
it, I'm listening some music right
now. I'm wearing earphones and humming the song that
I know. I like Korean songs. Sometimes I memorize the
lyrics of my favorite Korean song. That's all of my
family members and I are doing when waiting for the
fast breaking time.

 MY FAMILY’S ACTIVITIES

Right now, my family have some activities. After
my dad and my mom go home. They are preparing meals
for break the fast. My dad and I are cleaning the house
like sweeping, washing the plates, and other else. While
my mom is cooking for break the fast and my sister is
sleeping in her room because she is so tired. After that,
we are breaking the fast with a bowl of soup and some
sweet drinks like kolak. Then, we pray because its
Maghrib.
After we pray, my dad is sewing some
customer’s clothes and my mom also helping him. While
me, doing this homework in my room. Suddenly, there
are some guests go to my home. They are couple and
they bring their cildren. She is a girl and very cute. I
really like her. The couple is my neighbor and their
home is near with my house. So, its very near and they
asking about the clothes that they ordered yesterday.
Then, my mom is searching for the clothes and she finds
it. After that, they still in my home because they are
talkative people and they want to order again. Then, a
woman comes to my house.
She is my neighbor too. Her home is behind my
house so its very near too and she brings her children
too. She is a girl and she is very adorable. i cant stop
laughing because of her voice is too cute. The woman
has the same purpose just like the couple. She asking

about the clothes that she ordered yesterday and she
want to order some clothes again. After that, they are
leaving my house.
Then, My dad and my mom are doing tarawih in
musholla. While my sister is doing preparation for her
USBN test tomorrow and her USBN test tomorrow is
English haha. She keep asking me about the question
that she cant answer especially she keep asking me about
verb 1, verb 2, and verb ing. Then, I am starting to teach
some English lesson for her and Alhamdulillah she
understands about my explanation. After that, my sister
is sleeping and my parents are sleeping too. While me
still doing this homework

 MY BELOVED FAMILY

I have a small family. They are my father, my

mother, my grand mother, and my younger brother. This
day is a fasting month. I wake up at 3 am. I wake my
family up to pre downmeal. My mother warming some
food in the kitchen. I helping her to take the food on the
eat table. After that , we have pre downmeal together.
We enjoying our food. After finish, i helping my mother
to washing some plates and going to the bathroom to
take a shower.
The next I and my family going to the mosque
for praying together. After praying i going to the bed to
sleep again and i wake up at the 8 am. When I wake up
my father is working in the around of street. He is a
distributor of some snacks. He is selling snacks to many
minimarkets. He is working to get much money. He will
go home at 4 pm. My mother is working in the market
right now . she is a clothes seller. She is getting much
money to pay my study. She is a good mom for me. She
is supporting me to continue my study. She is going to

the market with my father. And coming back to home
with her friend. Actually , the market is far for my home
but my mother is very strong . She is my hero with
anything that happening for me. I am going to the
campus at 9 am until 4 pm.
My young brother is studying in elementary
school in pasuruan. He is nine years old righ now. He is
fasting right now. Because it is a ramadhan month.He is
study hard to make my parents proud. He is going to the
school with my father before my father going to work.
He will go home at 1 pm. He go home walking with her
friend.
I come back from the campus at 4 pm and I
arrive in home at 5 pm. In home, i take a shower and fast
breaking with my family. After that we are praying
together. After praying we waiting of the tarawih pray.
Wi will going to mosque to tarawih pray and after finish,
we come back to the our home and going to sleeping.

Though it was a small beginning, his friends supported
him and suggested him to start auditioning for television
roles and films. Finally he got a minor roles. He has
started his acting career since 2000 in "The Fugitive"
series. After filmed several series and movies, he played
his first superhero role as a human torch - Johnny Storm
in "Fantastic Four" (2005).
The decade of the 2010s, he started on a very
positive note for the actor. In 2010, he starred two
movies, "The Losers" and "Scott Pilgrim vs the World".
The following year, he bagged the role of Steve Rogers /
Captain America in the superhero flick "Captain

In 2015, he reprised the role of Steve Rogers / Captain
America in two movies, "Avengers: Age of Ultron" and
"Ant-Man", appeared as a cameo. In 2016, he once again
played the same role in "Captain America: Civil War".
He was also played the role in "Avengers: Infinity War"
in 2018 and "Avengers: Endgame" - the most waited
film in 2019.
His films have won multiple awards. In 2011,
Chris Evans won the Scream Award for Best Superhero
for his role in the film "Captain America: The First
Avenger". In 2015, he won the People's Choice Awards
for Favorite Action Movie Actor for his role in the
movie "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". And
many more. After starred in Marvel series, he became
famous actor. The success of his movies has made him
become a billionaire actor. He has received many honors
and awards.

 My Life

Hello, in here I want to tell you about my life
that I can write in simple perfect tense. So, I have lived
in Malang since 2000 and my parents have lived in here
since 1997. Also, my family have so many things in our
home. Like my dad, he has had the refrigerator since I
was born. Its still on and its not broken. I’m really
appreciate it. Then, we have had two televisions. The big
size and the medium size. The big size is on the living
room while the medium size is on my dad’s room.
Because he likes tv shows so much.
Then, we already have two motorbikes. Its
Honda Beat and Vario. The Honda Beat has stayed in
our home since 2013 while Vario has stayed in our home
since 2015. Also recently, my young sister has passed
her final examination in her elementary school.
Congratulation for her!. Finally, she will be a junior high
school student. Then,I will tell about my dad’s job. He is
the owner one of the clothes store in Dampit Market. He
has owned the store since 1998. Right now, my dad and
my mom have already run this business hopefully it will
be long lasting.

 My Younger Brother

This is about my younger brother. His name is
Ja'far. He has studied at elementary school since 2016.
He imagined herself as an army. She has told me about
her dream many times. It’s been her dream since
elementary school grade one.
My father has inspired him to be an army. He
has jogged every morning since a year ago. Ja'far has
always watched movie about army in you tube many
times in a day. He always spent his day with anything
about army. Like watched movie, played games , played
robotic , etc.
Ja'far has also learned how to ride bycycle for a
year. He has got up at five o'clock in the morning.
Usually, he has played badminton in the field before he
has breakfast in the morning. Sometimes ja'far has
phisical exercise with his friends. Ja'far and his friends
have planned to follow the competition this month. They
have trained every morning since one month ago.

My Puppy Love Story

This story began when I was on junior high
school. At that time, I was on the 7th grade. Like most of
the teenagers, I have someone that I like. He was my
senior on the 9th grade, his name is Bayu. I used to be his
secret admirer. I was happy everytime the final exam
came. My final exam time was started after the students
from 9th grade finished, because we took turns using the
classroom.
I remember that day, when I realized that he used
the same classroom with me. I saw his sweet smile while
talking with his friends. When I finished doing my final
exam, my friends and I took a walk around our school.
And I found him, he was playing basketball with his
friends. I couldn't take my eyes off on him.
Unfortunately, we couldn't meet frequently because he
graduated 2 months after that. I never saw him again for
about 2 years.
Time moved so fast, finally I graduated from
junior high school. I continued my journey at one of the
most favorite senior high schools in my town. I was
happy because I entered the same school with him,
again. It was been a week since I entered senior high

school. I was a newbie. At that time, he was on 12th
grade. He was quite popular in senior high school.
Even though we studied in the same school since
junior high school, I never talked with him. He didn't
know anything about me, but I knew everything about
him. I knew his ex-girlfriend, his brother, and even his
address. I knew that from my friend, because she
followed his facebook account.
My sad story began in the day when the election
of Student Body President was being held. There was no
lesson during that day. The students were busy. After the
election finished, the teacher asked all of the students to
clean their classroom. My friends and I helped each
other to make our class tidy and clean.
The second breaktime was come. Most of my
friends went to the mosque to take Dzuhur prayer. I was
on my period, so I couldn't join them. In the class, I sat
on the last row in the corner of my class. In front of me,
there was my friend who sat on the first row, she was on
her period too.
Suddenly, I saw Bayu entered my class. I was
freeze and my heart was pounding so fast. There were 2
girls in my class, include myself. I wondered why he
suddenly showed up in my class. I just laid my head
down when he walked closer to my place. I thought he
will came to me, but my opinion was wrong. He came to
visit my friend. I couldn't believe what I saw in front of
my eyes. He talked with my friend, and I heard their
conversation. From their conversation, I knew that they

were on a relationship. My heart was broken. That was
my first time to get a broken heart. Sometimes I can't
believe that I used to be someone's secret admirer for a
long time. But that was teenager’s life, and this story is
my Puppy Love story.

 My Horror Story

This is happened when i was child. At that day, i

slept in my room and my dad slept in the living room.
The location of the living room was accross my room.
So, it was near with my room. While my mom and my
younger sister slept in another room. It was midnight
and everybody slept. Suddenly, my skin was touched
and pinched with something sharp. It was hurt and i
yelled. My dad woke up because he heard about my
scream. Then, he came to my room and asked what
happened to me. I thought that was my dad because he
was a silly person. He just said “i did not do that, lets go
back to sleep”. Then, he came back to living room and
we slept again.
3 minutes later, my skin was pinched again. I
yelled and my dad came to my room. At that time, i did
not believe about ghost. So, i just thought that was my
dad who always silly and lied to me. I was angry. I told
him and he still did not believe about what happened.
He just said “maybe its just your hallucination”. I was so
confused and i agreed about that. Maybe it was just my
hallucination and we slept again.
Unexpectedly, it happened again. I was very
angry and yelled to my dad. I cried and i said that my
dad did bad things to me. He said to me that he did not
do that. He was tired because he had been worked all of

the day. So, he just slept and he did not go anywhere. He
swore to me for the first time. After he said all of that, i
was very confused and I started thinking. “So, who was
the person who pinched my skin?”. Then, I decided to
slept with my dad in our living room.
My dad hugged me so tight so that I could sleep.
But i was still shock and I could not sleep for a minute.
So, my eyes were opened and I tried to forget about that.
Accidentally, I saw my accross room’s reflection on my
television’s mirror in the living room. I saw a girl who
has pale skin with black eyes and she waved her hands
with her long nails. I yelled so loud and i started
thinking. “Is she who pinched my...?”. Then, my dad
closed my mouth and my eyes with his hands. He just
said “shut up sshhhshhh let’s sleep Vita”.

 My Daily Activites

Usually , I wake up at 5 o'clock in the morning. I
take a shower and i'm praying at the mosque. After i'm
finishing for pray , i come back to my boarding house
and i'm cleaning my room. I'm cleaning my room with
my friend. My friend's name is miss. hidayah. She is in
eight semester right now. She always remember me to
get some activities because sometimes i'm so lazy.
Sometimes, i just spend my holiday in my dreams
because i think my dream more beautiful than real.
After cleaning my room, we are cooking in the
kitchen and we have breakfast together. I go to campus
when we are finishing it. I'm in the campus until
evening. There i with my friends, we just stay in
hotspot. We are not studying but we just kidding. We
go to canteen if we are hungry or the rain falling. If we
have task, usually we do it there. I come back to my
boarding house when evening. In boarding house, i take
a shower and praying. After that, i'm studying for
fifteen minutes. The next i do assignment and go to bed
at ten o'clock in the night.

My Struggle for a Bachelor Degree

It’s been 2,5 years since my father lost his job. At
first, it was a big blow to my family. My father was
having a severe vertigo. I felt sad and hopeless. So I
decided to finish my education until the first diploma
level. After graduated, I tried to find a job to help my
family's economic condition. My mother and sister also
worked to fulfill our daily needs. Dozens of times I was
rejected by several companies and restaurants where I
applied. But I didn't give up because I wanted to be
independent and bought anything using my own money.
God answered my prayer, at the age of 19 I was
employed by a Chinese couple at their electronics store.
Being a shopkeeper wasn’t as easy as I imagined. I had
to memorize thousands of electronic items and its prices.
It was hard for someone who never knew about
electronic devices like me. Worse, I wasn't helped by my
co-workers, so I had a lot of difficulties while serving
customers. On the 6th day I worked there, I decided to
resign.
After three times changing jobs, I work at a
company that sells credit software until now. I saved my
salary for 1 year in order to continue my dream of
achieving a bachelor's degree. Actually I didn't plan to

study at Kanjuruhan University, but my mother
suggested to study here because the cost is quite
affordable. I was busy working to collect money, so I
was registered by my mom to enter college. My mom
arranged everything, she even accompanied me during
student orientation preparation.
At the beginning of college, I took furlough as an
adjustment with the campus environment. It feels good
to go back to college again. Even though I realized,
surely my age is much older than my friends. But it turns
out, I have some friends who are even older than me,
very surprising isn't it ? I got lots of exciting experiences
during the orientation periods. There was a funny
incident when I was invited to take a photo by one of the
students who did not introduce her name and she just
walked away after taking a photo with me. A month later
she joined the same organization with me and we
became close friends.
In the first semester, I spent my time participating
in campus events and organizations. But I still work to
pay for my college. Because of many campus events that
I attended, my savings ran out. I began to regret that I
was stuck with the euphoria of new students who still
like to have fun. It was compounded by my salary which
was not enough to pay for the next semester's tuition
fees. Fortunately the campus provided dispensation for
the payment of tuition fees.
On the next semester, I promised to save more
money. But other problems await me. In the second

semester, my problem isn’t about money anymore. The
main problem that I face is about how to manage time.
My schedule in the second semester is quite tight. I only
have a short time to rest. So I decided to vacuum from
organizational activities since 3 months ago. I don't even
know if I’m still considered as a member by the
organization that I join. I was often advised by my mom
that my priority is to study and work, so I didn't need to
be sad even if I couldn't join the organization. Maybe
next semester I can join other organizations that don't
take up too much of my time. I hope I can survive until I
get a bachelor degree and God eases my steps and
blesses me.

 My Fight to Get a Degree

When I was on high school, i had a purpose. My

purpose was go to college eventhough I was graduated
from vocational high school. My decision was approved
by my parents. State Polytechnic of Malang was chosen
as my goal to study. The reason why I chose this campus
because i was from vocational high school and my major
was computer and network engineering. So, i was so
excited and i was so passionate to study to that campus.
I studied harder and harder. The best score was
gotten by my 2 friends and I when we were on high
school. Alhamdulillah, I always became on 2nd ranking
out of 36 students in my class. So, “Jalur PMDK” was
chosen to be my decision to go to that college. The
PMDK path system was that they only see the scores and
ranking. Then, they selected it from the highest. So, the
announcement day had been awaited by me. I was so
excited and I thought that I would be accepted as a
college student on that campus. Finally, I tried to find
my name on every major that I chose but I didnt find my
name. So, I failed.
I felt so dissapointed. My other friends were
accepted by that college eventhough their scores were
not good. While me who always studied hard, I failed
100% on every major that I chose. Take another
university’s test was decided by me. So, I studied harder
and harder to get my favourite major. Informatics
Engineering was chosen to be my main purpose. After

that, I was not accepted on every university. Then, I
decided to take another major. Communication Visual
Design was chosen to be my another major. So, I take
diploma test in Brawijaya University.
At that time, I resigned myself to my condition. I
just prayed and hopefully I was accepted on that
university. When the announcement day comes, I was
not excited like I did before. I was scared to open the
website and I could not thinking straight. Finally, the
website was opened by me and my participant’s number
and my password were entered by me too. The result was
that I was accepted to be a design’s student in Brawijaya
University. My parents and I were so happy at that day
but it did not work beautifully like I dreamed before.
Being a college student in one of the best universities in
Indonesia was dreamed by me. I wish I could be happy
and passed all of the semesters without obstruction. I
wish i could pass everything but i just passed it for one
semester. I thought that i couldnt take for the next
semesters because i was not really comfortable at that
major. There was financial problem on my family so i
decided to end it all.
In the next year, I decided to take English
Education as my major. English Education was
suggested by my parents and it was approved by them.
Then, Kanjuruhan’s University was chosen by them too
because the cost was not really expensive. So, all
required documents were collected by me and I
submitted it to a new student admission section. Finally,

 My Experience of P3T

In the first time of p3t , I was very happy because
it was the first time around of campus was seen by me.
P3t is an orientation of the university lecture in unikama.
We can got introduction from our campuss before we
studying there. I went to campus by my foot. I just
walked alone because in my boarding house i stayed
with seniors. I woke up at 4 o'clock. The sound of my
phone was heard by me. I was called by my mother
every morning. After my mother is called me, a shower
was taken by me. The next the clothes were worn by me.
I went to campuss at fifteen to six.
In the campuss, I went to sarwakirti room. There,
my group searched by me. But I was so lost in two grup.
But there is someone asked by me. Actually my group in
beside his group. I was so shy. I was mocked by
someone. His name's Azizi. He is from Blitar and math
education taken by him. But i just silent.
When my group was seen by me . The chair was
sat by me and than I was indroduced my self to my
friend beside me. I was very happy because I got new
friends here. P3t was opened by rektor of unikama. After
opening, knowledge were given by rektor of unikama.
Actually we were bored and tired because it was very
long time. We were came back to boarding house at 5
o'clock in the evening. P3t continued until a week.
