INTRODUCTION

Work Immersion sounds stressful for Senior-high school students. Yet, as part of K to 12

curriculum, we a Grade 12 students were required to gain relevant learning experiences through actual

work. We were assigned to specific partner institution, business organization or establishment parallel

to our specializations in order to help us to reinforce our knowledge from classroom and enhance our

skills.

Work Immersion is particularly appropriate for developing Proficiency skills unique to an

employees Job especially jobs that are relatively easy to develop, learn and require locally-owned

equipment and facilities. On the Job Training (OJT) is one of the best training methods because it is

planned, organized and conducted at the employees worksites. Most students have taken their OJT for

granted; not realizing the important it can bring on their future career. Training a good performance

during OJT is very important, now that there’s a sight competition toward the job seekers and the high

qualifications of companies.

As we commence the Work Immersion, little did we know that an exciting adventure was about

to begin. Through the travels are sometimes exhausting, you really enjoy it along with the personnel.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

To Mr. Jonathan S. Pizana, our supervisor, I would like to convey my gratefulness to you for the

excellent OJT which I have undergone to your office. The skills and knowledge which I have gained

throughout my Practical Training I perceive as very valuable component in my future career

development. As you know this OJT was part of my educational curricula and therefore I have to thank

you for providing the opportunity.

I would especially to thanks Mrs. Faith Suclan for her generous support, coaching and

companionship during my OJT. She shared her expertise with me very generously and I have learned a

lot from her

My thanks and appreciation also to the drivers mainly, Mr. Joseph Sarol and Mr. Mark Llavan

for willing to help us, above all to the good companionship.

I also thanks for my beloved parents and family for the love and for being always here at my

side to support me even when I’m feeling down for all my challenges in life, and guiding me to pursue

my dreams and goals.

To my teachers especially my loving adviser Mrs. Margie Aguil who motivates and teach me to

become a better person.

Above all, to our Almighty God, without him I am nothing, I am not here in the place where I am

standing right now, thank you for guiding me in every step I make in life especially for all the blessings

and achievement that I had.

Thank you once again for the great support in the successful completion of my OJT.
SUMMARY OF DUTY

Day 1, October 22, 2018

This is the first day of our Work Immersion in the Municipality of Aborlan. We are assigned at

DRRM Office with my classmates Ricka, Ronnie, Jessalyn & Jeysa. I feel nervous because I thought our

supervisor is very strict but totally not. I thought that it’s hard for me to interact with others especially

the professional one.

First day of immersion, we are so happy together and helping each other like we’re close before.

We cleaned the part of DRRM Office and keep the important things in a proper place such as life jackets,

goods, and etc. that they used in emergency purposes/calamities. Lastly, we washed some plates and

cleaned the CR.

Day 2, October 23, 2018

2nd day of immersion, like we did yesterday we also cleaned surroundings that is part of DRRM

Office. If we’re not busy, we also washed plates. Then, our boss and ma’am didn’t ask and command

us for help so we are the one who volunteer to do what we can do. In the Afternoon, we went to the

SB Office but the Guard command us to go in different offices to tell someone that they need to go at

Accounting Office. Later on, ma’am Faith teach us about the Travel Order (T.O). Lastly, Sir Joseph Sarol

gives us money to buy ingredients for our snacks then we cooked it.
Day 3, October 24, 2018

3rd day here in Municipality of Aborlan which we are here in DRRM Office that they called

DARARAM. Like we did the other days, we cleaned the front of DRRM then when we’re not busy, we

washed some plates and cleaned the CR.

Day 4, October 25, 2018

4th day here in DRRM Office. As usual, every morning we are cleaning the surroundings and then

when we notice that plates are glutted again, we washed it carefully. But it comes the point that we

thought this office is not related to our strand because the offices that line us are treasure, budget, and

accounting office but later, I realize that we’re so lucky rather because in this office we enjoy a lot,

relax, and not being nervous because actually we have some boss/ma’am who are kind and friendly to

us. Even they are a professional, they never treat us different instead they treat us like a real friend.

Day 5, October 26, 2018

It’s Friday! The days are so fast, a few days before we go back to school. How sad? If I can make

it a months, I did. As usual, in a whole day we cleaned the surroundings and CR and then washed the

plates, but for me it’s not boring instead I enjoy it. In the Afternoon, ma’am Faith told us to go in Mayors

Office and HRM Office because Sir Jhon and Sir Joseph have an important meeting that they need to

leave, so we need to prepare the documents that needed.

Day 6, October 29, 2018

It’s Monday! It’s flag ceremony! I forgot to wear our Maroon Uniform which we wear it in every

Monday of our On The Job Training(OJT).

In the Afternoon, we went to the Mayor’s Office and brought the papers/documents in order to

receive by any personnel in that office.

Day 7, October 30, 2018

Oh my god! 7th days here! Picture-picture while working (Cleaning the surroundings, washing

plates and etc.). This is the day that we do a lot because we are going to Mabini, Aborlan, Cemetery In

November 1-2 for our duty, we who assigned at DRRM with OJT students in Fire. We are preparing the

emergency kit/first aid kit that will be needed in that day, then after that we washed the bag and

arranged the papers/documents in order based on months, lastly, we wax the floor and then eating the

snacks.
Day 8, October 31, 2018

8th days! Two days before we’ve done in our OJT. I feel sad because we have only a few days

together with my fellow OJT students and our boss/ma’am, I will miss them so much.

Ronnie said that we need to prepare because we are going at Puerto Princesa City so I feel

exciting then I went back to house to swap my clothes, but it’s not truth so I get mad on him. The truth

is we are going to ANHS to observe and take picture for Earthquake Drill.

Day 9, November 1, 2018

2nd to the last day! We are here at Aborlan, Mabini Cemetary to help the DRRM personnel in

first aiding and rescuing people in case of emergency. Aside from that, we observe what they did and

serves food to the PNP personnel, Army and Rescue Team.

Day 10, November 2, 2018

Last day of our Immersion! Like yesterday, we are here in Mabini Cemetary.

Sir Joseph ask us to come back on Monday because he are planning and promising to us that

before we leave, we are going to the beach for outing, above all, experiencing to ride and enjoying on

speed boat.
