    The House Bill declaring the Chocolate Hills in Bohol as a "national patrimony, natural heritage park and geological monuments" was approved by the House Committee on Basic Education. A German scientist's study found that the Chocolate Hills were formed over three million years ago when Bohol was still underwater, due to undersea currents and tidal action.
