He liked writing historical
stories and adventure
stories.
Conan Doyle did many
interesting things in his life.
When he was a young man
he worked on a ship. In
1900, he went to South
Africa. He worked in a
hospital there during the
Boer War. He travelled to
America, Australia, Africa
and Europe.
Conan Doyle was married
twice. In 1885, he married
Louise Hawkins. They were
married for 21 years.
