CONDITIONAL SENTENCES

Two clauses; one subordinate, and the principal clause compound a conditional
sentence.

Possible future

If + simple present + simple future

If I have money, I will buy a car

Imaginary present

If + simple past + would o could o might + verb in infinitive form

If I had money, I would buy a car

Si yo tuviera dinero, compraría un carro

Nota: La forma que se usa del verbo To be en el tiempo “Imaginary present” es


“were” para todas las personas

Imaginary past

If + past perfect tense + would have o could have o might have + past
perfect tense

If I had had money, I would have bought a car.

Sí yo hubiera tenido dinero, habría comprado un carro
