I DO not propose to offer here any arguments
in support of the positive assertion that men
are immortal. I beheve that such arguments
exist, and that, in spite of the difficulty and

In the nine years which have passed since
I first wrote these
pages, I have become more
firmly convinced that the nature of reality can
be shown to be such as to justify a belief both
in immortality and in pre-existence. I hope
at somefuture time to publish my grounds for
this conviction, as part of a treatise on the
July, 1915.
