Rhodora A. Ngolob
Vice – President for Academic Affairs
University of the Cordilleras
Baguio City, Philippines 2600

Dear Ma’am Rhodora Ngolob,

I am Emmanuel A. Causon, a fourth year BS EnSE student, would humbly request for the opening of the
following subjects of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering Program of the 2015 curriculum.

The subjects include the following:

SE 421 Occupational Health and Safety

SE 423 Sanitary Sci & Plumbing for Bldgs
SE 424 Water Supply Engineering
SE 426 Sewage & Wastewater Treatment: Planning & Design

The subjects mentioned are scheduled to open every 1st semester of the school year, yet these are not
available. I believe that it is expected for the College of Engineering to open these subjects to continue
the program as the subjects for the 1st semester of school year 2019 – 2020 are all prerequisites needed
for the next semester.

Perhaps the scheduled subjects are being held due to absence of classrooms and instructors; however
these subjects should be opened and prioritized. Regardless of the number of students signing for
petition, the schedule of these seasonal subjects for the course of Environmental and Sanitary
Engineering must not be shifted for the regular students could graduate on time.

It is crucial for the students and their family if prolonged for a semester or more just to wait for the
subjects to open. In behalf of my family, I would like to extend our concern with the unavailability of the
prerequisite subjects. Our resources are depleting and an additional semester/s may cause me not to
finish the course. This matter does not only apply to my situation but also for all the regular students
that could be delayed if the seasonal subjects are not prioritized.

Thank you and looking forward for your favorable consideration.

Respectfully,

Emmanuel Causon
