After studying the requirement of the project and electricity consumption pattern, we will be using a
phased approach for this project. Our approach will also enable us to implement the best practices
that will maximize the value of your investment while minimizing your risk. Our phased approach
methodology is as follows:
We can install 25 kWp System on the available site as per your electricity consumption pattern &
after feasibility of the site. Space required for 25 kWp system is around 2500 Sq. ft shadow free
area. SPV system generates DC (Direct Current) power, which shall be inverted to AC (Alternate
Current) to run the equipment and other appliances at the production unit.

Each of these components are carefully selected for a trouble free intended life of the power
plant. Scheme below shows a simple schematic of a solar PV Power plant:
Solar PV Modules:
For proposed solar PV plant Renewsys, Waaree, or any other equivalent make solar modules are
proposed. All the modules will be IEC certified (TUV: IEC 61215, IEC 61730, CE, UL 1703).
The solar power plant shall be designed by considering poly silicon technology with high efficiency
modules.
Inverter(s) is of extremely high quality having high efficiency µprocessor controlled type and
are capable of running in individual and parallel mode. Inverter(s) is capable of recording its own
parameters in built in data logger. In addition to above the following features are also available with
the inverter:
A suitable number of PV panel mounting structures are provided. It is hot dip galvanized steel
structure with plated hardware. Structure material shall be corrosion resistant and electrolytic
compatible with the structures shall be designed to allow easy replacement of any module.
The Selected Structure complies all the quality standards required for solar PV installations.
For the proposed Solar PV plant, the structures are designed to meet all the local conditions of sites
e.g. wind speeds, soil/roof conditions & loads of modules etc.
AC & DC Cables:
All cables are as per IS Standard and ratings should be as per requirement. All connections are to be
made through suitable cable glands/lug terminals; crimped properly & with use of Cable Glands. All
cable/wires will mark with proper manner by good quality ferrule or by other means so that the cable
can be easily identified. All the cables will conform to the BIS.
Earthing:
The Maintenance free chemical Earthing for the solar plant are offered. The Earthing size will be
based on soil resistivity of the plot.
The SPV power plant is provided with Lighting Arrester and over voltage protection. The main aim of
this protection is to reduce the over voltage to able value before it reaches the PV array or other sub
systems components. The source of over voltage can be lightning or any other atmospheric
disturbance.

Metering
7. Concept
ANNEXURE
7.1 Net Metering Concept
Net metering is a program, offered by some electrical utility companies, that allows you, the solar
power system owner, to connect your system to the utility company’s system and feed any excess
solar energy into the utility distribution system.
Net metering allows residential and commercial customers who generate their own electricity from
solar power to feed electricity they do not use back into the grid. Many states have passed net
metering laws. In other states, utilities may offer net metering programs voluntarily or as a result of
regulatory decisions.
Net metering is a billing mechanism that credits solar energy system owners for the electricity they
add to the grid.
For example, if a residential customer has a PV system on the home's rooftop, it may generate more
electricity than the home uses during daylight hours. If the home is net-metered, the electricity
meter will run backwards to provide a credit against what electricity is consumed at night or other
periods where the home's electricity use exceeds the system's output. Customers are only billed for
their "net" energy use.
Net metering plays a very vital role in India – a country where there is a lot of variation in terms of
available sunlight, usable electricity, distribution channels etc. If India aims to achieve its energy
security by 2022, Net metering is specially crucial. Net metering has been successfully implemented
in places like Delhi, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Bihar,
West Bengal and Tamil Nadu.
As a consumer, the biggest advantage with net metering is the ability to drastically reduce the
electricity bills. This is one of the most important aspects that attract users towards net metering.
Benefits of Net Metering:
1. Financial Credit for Extra Solar Power Produced
You will receive a credit for your excess solar power at the utility’s going rate for electricity. When
there is not enough electricity from the sun, the utility company will supply your electrical needs. You
will pay only for the difference between the power supplied by the utility and the power produced by
the solar panels. For net metering, a bilateral meter is installed that records the solar power you have
produced and fed back to the grid as well as the power you have used from the utility.
Do not leave connectors unplugged for long Do not wear metallic rings, watchbands, ear,
periods of time; dirt may prevent subsequent nose, lip rings or other metallic devices while
connection Installing or troubleshooting photovoltaic
systems
Do not allow any unauthorized person to operate, Do not cover the water drain holes of the frame.
disturb or make any changes or modifications in There is a risk of frost damage when the frame is
the System filled with water
In case the system becomes non-operational, Keep away children from the systems as it
don’t try to repair any part yourself otherwise the generates DC current. It is dangerous for life &
warranty will become void can be fatal
