Innovation in Project Execution

Inspiring Innovation
Power Mech has always been in the forefront of innovative project execution in tune with latest technology deploying state-of-the-art equipment. Innovation in project execution results in saving of man hours, compression of delivery schedule apart from overall economy to customer. This has been the key to the Companys success in meeting stringent time-lines drawn by clients. Some of the major project execution innovations adopted by Power Mech include: 1. 2. Scaffolding inside Furnace : Project - 5 x 800 MW UMPP Mundra. Unique scaffolding is done for the , entire height of furnace to ensure safe working, inspection and to achieve the desired quality. Generator Stator Lifting by Gantry Crane : Project - 4 x 600 MW TPP Jharsuguda. In India, Generator Stator , is normally lifted either by using two EOT cranes with tandem operation or Portal crane. In this project, for the 1st time, Generator Stator is lifted using gantry crane with multi-sheeves pulley using EOT crane girder as support beam and winches. Generator Stator Lifting by Strand Jack : Projects - 2 x 500 MW TPP Mejia; 1 x 500 MW TPP Kahalgaon; , , 1 x 250 MW TPP Trombay and many 500 and 600 MW TPPs. Strand jack is being used to reduce time , cycle. Erection of Multi-Electrodes for ESP in Single Lift : Projects - 2 x 600 MW TPP Mangalore, 2 x 600 MW TPP , , Hisar and other new projects. Achieved more number of electrode erection in single day enhancing productivity. . Economiser Hopper - lifted in One Piece : Project - 5 x 800 MW UMPP Mundra. Erection time cycle is , reduced. Quality and safety is ensured. Boiler Drum Slant Lifting by Strand Jack : Project - 2 x 300 MW TPP Korba. Boiler Drum is normally lifted , st horizontally. For the 1 time, Boiler Drum is lifted slant position due to non availability of space. ESP Casing Multi - Columns in Single Piece : Project - 5 x 800 MW UMPP Mundra. Erection time cycle is , reduced. Pre-assembled Bottom Ring Header & Hopper Panel : Project - 5 x 800 MW UMPP Mundra. Unique method , to ensure better welding quality ( as it done on ground ) and safe operation. Single Piece Coal Silos : Project - 5 x 800 MW UMPP Mundra. Erection time cycle is reduced. Unique , method to ensure better welding quality ( as it done on ground ) and safe operation.
