You can install the Plex Media Server on your ReadyNAS storage This article

Many apps can be installed directly from the local admin page of
ReadyNAS storage systems connected to the internet. If your
ReadyNAS storage system is not connected to the internet, you
can still install apps manually, but must first download them from
the ReadyNAS Apps page to an internet-connected computer, Looking for

Installing Plex Media Server

1. Download Plex Media Server for the ReadyNAS you use
from Plex's website.
a. Click DOWNLOAD, select NETGEAR from the
dropdown, then click DOWNLOAD to select the
type of Plex Media Server package to download.
b. RN102, RN104 and RN2120 will download the
ARM 6.x
c. RN202, RN212, RN204, and RN214 will download
ARM 6.x RN2xx
d. All other ReadyNAS devices will download Intel 6.x

2. Download the application to your computer, make note

of the download location.
Your browser notifies you when the download is
complete.

3. Go to the local admin page for your ReadyNAS storage

system and click the Apps tab.
4. Click the Upload button to the upper right hand side of
the screen.

5. A popup with allow you to browse to the download

folder to select the downloaded package.

6. Click the Upload button.

The app will begin installing in the background and
alert you when it has been installed successfully.

7. Click the Installed Apps button.

The app displays on the Installed Apps screen.

8. Once the App is installed, you can view the App in

Installed Apps icon.
9. To enable Plex, switch the OFF toggle to ON next to the
Plex Media Server icon.
After a moment. a message about enabling the service
will quickly display then disppear.
10. Click the Launch button.
Plex's Terms of Service displays in a new browser
window or tab.
11. Click AGREE if you agree to continue.
