FAIRY FERN

D
eep in the heart of Rosebud Forest lives a tiny little fairy, with beautiful cobweb wings and

magic wand. The fairy’s name is fern, and her home is among the wild flowers that grow in a

secret glade.

Fern has a special friend—Sapphire the bluebird. They love to fly through the forest, leaping over

rays of sunlight, chasing pretty butterfly. Then, by the light of the moon, Sapphire and Fern dance and

sing around a “fairy ring” with all their friends.

Today, Fairy Fern is really excited! There’s to be a fairy parade. Flora, the Fairy Queen, will choose

the prettiest fairy dress.

With a tap-tap of her wand, Fern magically changes into a dress of velvety rose petals and bluebells.

Then, with sprinkling of fairy dust, Fern makes a secret wish…

“Please let Queen Flora choose me!” she whispers.

But Fern has forgotten to get her friend ready! She weaves

some flowers through Sapphire’s feather and adds a sprinkling of

fairy dust.

Now for the final touch! Fairy Fern twists her hair up and pins it into place with a golden flower.

Then, with a flutter of wings, they fly off to the parade.

Fairy Fern arrives just as queen Flora is announcing the winner… “and the Golden Crown goes to…

Fairy Fern!”

All the fairies cheer and flutter their wings. Fairy Fern smiles as the crown in placed on her head.

She is the happiest fairy in the forest—her secret wish has come true.
