Development of Particle Board from Waste Crushed Glass and Rice Husk

Particle Board is a wood-based board product manufactured under pressure and temperature using
wood particles or other lignocellulosic materials and a binder. However, the continuous depletion of
forest resources creates massive problems on the production of particle boards.

Rice husk were discarded as agriculture residues that are available in large quantities and cheap.
Moreover, it is estimated to be burned after harvest. Hereby, the researchers propose the usage waste
like rice husks and crushed glass potential raw material for particleboard provide an alternative in
reducing material from wood particles.
