Noah’s Ark and the Flood

The story of Noah and the Flood is a controversy until today to science scholars and many
historians have undergone a journey just to find the location where the ark was landed. To
some people this story is just a mere tale that told long time ago because there is no such
strong scientific evidence that prove the existence of the ark and the occurrence of the Flood.
People say that it is possible to have a flood during those times because even today we
experience it but to the extent of building an ark is a question to some people. But not to the
Christians, there is no doubt that Noah and the Flood was clearly written in the Book of
Genesis. The Bible tells every detail of how the flood took place and why there is a flood in the
first place. This is the purpose of this paper we will take an overview before the flood and
during the flood. We will prove scientifically based on the Bible and from the Bible we will come
up a conclusion from our analysis.

After the fall of Man, Adam and Eve have children of their own likeness and their children bore
child until a man named Noah who was the son of Lamech (read Genesis 5:1-32). Before Noah
found favour in the eyes of the Lord. The Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on the earth
had become, and that every inclination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil all the time.
(Genesis 6:5). The Lord grieved from what he saw from the doings of man and He wanted to
wipe all mankind and all He had made that move along the ground. But the Lord found that
Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time and he walked with God
(read Genesis6:9). Noah had three sons to wit: Shem, Ham and Japheth. The Lord said to Noah
that he will put an end to all the people because their ways were corrupt. God commanded
Noah to build an ark out Cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat with pitch inside and out.
God instructed Noah how to build the Ark. He gave every detail of the ark, the dimensions are
450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. A roof with a 18 inches top and composed of
three decks. After the ark was built the Lord commanded again to Noah that he will bring a pair
of male and female animals that moves on the ground and birds seven of their kinds a clean
and unclean one to keep them alive. God gave Noah seven days before He will bring rain to the
earth for forty days and forty nights. When all was all settled inside the ark God told Noah to
get inside the ark his wife and children and his children’s wives. And, God shut the door of the
ark that no one can get in or go out. Then God open the floodgates of heaven and all the
springs in the earth brings water that made the ark rose and the rain continued as the water
flooded the earth for hundred and fifty days. It was stated that the ark rest on the Mount
Ararat after the hundred and fifty days the water dried up from the earth until the top of the
mountains can be seen by Noah. The flood had made all the people and living creatures on
earth died. After the this flood there were no more flood occurred because God made a
covenant with Noah that He will never again wipe the earth with floodwater.
