Reaction Paper on ALife Artificial Life by Mark Bedau

It seems that he is methodical in his approach using bottom up whole he wants control
in every level of his research. If I remember there are four levels. Simply put parts made
up the whole from bottom to top. Not to mention if I was in his shoes I know “malilito
ako”. Because he is talking in a molecular level.

But I observe it is as if he was in a hurry expounding on some points. I am at a lost on

his explanation on pluralism. His research stress that it is pointless in debating on
emergence. Because maybe endless possibilities. While reading I remembered the
movie Ant Man and the Wasp.

They became so small that the mother got lost. Lost in space and time. Reason that she
was presumed dead by her guilty husband.

So that is where my imagination has led me. I was awol for 25 years. So watching a
movie like Ant Man came first and I thought it was just fictional stories. But reading such
kind of essays made me believe that the movie was based on this branch of science.

I thought that micro biology was just proving parenthood by tracing one DNA.

And I thought also that the universe was located beyond the stars. I didn’t know there is
another universe looking in. Truly mankind has come a long long way.

Galing parang naglalaro sila ng LEGO builging synthetic life forms using biobricks.

My conclusion is this. Let us they after a few decades they made a synthetic man. Will
we now make another CR. Because it took decades for LGBT community to be
accepted. And they want a CR for them. 100% sure at first there will resistance
accepting them but another decade or two we will need another CR for them.
