Position : Accessibility Consultant
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Testing web applications for their compliance to accessibility standards.
 Reporting the deviations in the standards and getting them fixed by closely working with
the developers.
 Ensure that the accessibility issues are dealt with immediately so as to avoid delays in
deployment.
 Conducting consultation and education sessions for the development teams on WCAG /
Sec 508 standards, WAI-ARIA to adopt accessibility best practices from the inception stage
of the projects.
 Conducted trainings on Web and Mobile accessibility for the FedEx and US Bank accounts
for testers and developers.
 Stream lined the process to be followed for enabling and maintaining accessibility for
MyWipro applications. Few of the pointers are as below:
A) Make sure accessibility is enabled in the user interface design itself in the
initial stage and is captured in the ‘Change and License Management’ tool.
B) Creating accessibility enablement tasks in the CLM tool to track testing and
development efforts.
