    EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

    The scope for basmati rice industry is immense in domestic as well as international market. The
    Indian basmati rice industry is on the verge of clocking its highest ever exports of around Rs. 30,000 crore in
    FY2019 (previous high of Rs. 29,300 crore in FY2014), according to an ICRA. The growth was fuelled by the
    strong demand of Indian basmati rice, mainly by Iran and Saudi Arabia as the highest contenders of Indian
    Basmati Rice.
