Honestly, I am not a pro or anti Duterte but I got something to say on his second SONA. I believe that we should respect whoever God
appointed to be the leader of this nation. He is neither perfect nor a good politician yet he has charisma on people. People love him. Until now, I
don’t know why? He always speaks bad words. He is a bully especially to the enemies of the state that is what he said in his SONA. Even
children can hear him but it seems he doesn’t care. Actually, it is my first time to hear a president who is bold enough to speak his mind-
everything and anything that he wants to say. A year has passed already, there have been changes but they are not enough for me. Yes, the
president is not perfect however, he is doing his best together with the other workers of the government to give us a better Philippines. It is okay
to scrutinize his works and criticize his words but to condemn him as a person I think is below the belt already. He was elected by 16 million
Filipinos and that is not a joke. Whether we like him or not he is our president and like the other presidents before him, we should give him a
chance. It is really hard to please everyone but I guess it is harder to disappoint everyone. We are all looking forward for a better economy, a just
and humane society, and a whole new world for our children but these will never happen until we all come together to stand as one. As the old
adage goes, United we stand, divided we fall. May the good Lord hear our prayers. God bless our countrymen, God bless the Philippines!
