Interpretation
The p-values for two variables are 0.565 and 0.103, respectively. This means that
the dependent variable (transportation expense per week) is not highly significant since
it exceeds 0.5. However, the independent variable (allowance per week) is significant
because it is lower than 0.5. Thus, the relationship between the allowance and
transportation expense per week is not direct. As shown in the gathered data, a higher
allowance does not equate to higher transportation expense and vice versa. There are
some respondents that have lower amount of allowance but have incurred higher
transportation expense and there are some who have higher amount of allowance but
chose to take the alternative which is to walk and incur lower transportation expense.
