Job Advertisement: First Tech Federal Credit Union VP of People

First Tech is looking for a dynamic leader to head all people operations. The VP of People will be responsible for
driving all HR strategic and operational activities; as well as maturing our learning and development programs to
promote employee growth. You will lead and manage talent acquisition and engagement, organizational and
learning development, compensation and benefits, compliance and legal policies, rewards, and employee relations
functions. This position will help move the needle for the most important aspect of the organization—its people.

Job Duties
• Refine and execute a people strategy that positions the organization as an employer of choice; consistently
attracting, developing, and retaining top talent
• Lead strategic workforce planning activities to include talent identification and development that readies the
organization and its people to excel in a fast paced and changing organization
• Mature learning and development programs to promote employee growth as well as management and
leadership effectiveness
• Conduct research, analyze employee and business performance data, and develop programs that drive high
levels of organizational performance and engagement
• Ensure policies, procedures, and people programs are consistently administered and aligned with organizational
goals to drive business results
• Lead the organization’s total rewards strategy and execution; building compensation and benefits programs that
align with organization’s philosophy and support attraction, retention and business performance
• Demonstrate strong communication, leadership and interpersonal skills; provide coaching, consultation, and
development to senior leadership
• Effectively manage division budgets and key strategic relationships; provide reporting and analysis on a division
basis

Essential Skills:
• Minimum 10 years of HR management and/or experience, with at least 6 years in a senior leadership role with a
mid to large size organization (1000+ employees)
• Minimum 7 years' experience in Learning& Development
• In depth knowledge of employee development, methodologies, and approaches
• Strong foundation across all HR functional areas including talent acquisition and engagement, organizational
development, compensation and benefits, compliance/legal policies, learning and development, rewards,
employee relations, etc.
• Knowledge of state and federal employment, compensation, and benefit law; FLSA, ERISA etc.
• Demonstrated experience creating and executing a metrics-driven, consultative service oriented people strategy
• Ability to translate strategy into plans and execute highly impactful initiatives
• Education:MBA preferred or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or other related fields of study or
equivalent experience
• Certification/License:HR certification– SPHR, CCP, CCB
