Meditations for the First Days of Elul of 2013

There is a verse in the Torah: Umal hashem et levavcha ve et levav zaracha. The initials of the words of this verse give us the name Elul (‫)אלול‬. Translated, this
sentence means that the Creator is going to circumcise our hearts and the hearts of our sons. According to Kabbalah, the heart has the energy of Receiving and is
comprised of two sections: The Desire to Receive for the Self Alone and The Desire to Receive for the Sake of Sharing. When the Creator circumcises our heart,
these two sections are separated from each other, allowing us to connect more completely with our Desire to Receive for the Sake of Sharing.

Meditation for the First Two Days of Elul: In the first 48 hours of Elul, we have a special meditation that Meditation for Immersion in the Mikveh for
combines the letters of the Tetragrammaton - Yud, Hei, Vav, and Hei - with another powerful name of the the First Two Days of Elul: In the beginning of
Creator - Aleph, Hei, Yud, and Hei, as follows (in doing so, we activate the energy of Binah, which helps to rid Elul, we can immerse ourselves 13 times to
us of negativity) remove the negativity and prepare the vessel for
