Reading Contract

Did you ever wonder why it is so important to read each night?

Here are some reasons why reading is so rewarding:

* Reading increases our knowledge of new places, new people,

and new concepts.
* Reading builds sophisticated vocabulary.
* Reading stimulates our creativity and allows our imagination
to flourish.
* Reading makes us better writers.
* Reading is challenging and hard work is necessary to grow.
* Reading makes us smarter.
* Reading is FUN!

I, ________________________, promise to read for at least 30

minutes each night, Monday through Thursday, and at least 30 minutes
one time over the weekend to help improve my fluency and
comprehension. I know that being successful requires hard work and
dedication. I will do my best to abide by this contract so I can learn,
grow, and be my best self.
