How to plant a broad bean

Today you will be planting your own broad bean. This broad bean seed
will be an important thing for you to remember because without you,
your broad bean will not be able to survive.

Some of you will grow your broad bean in the sunlight and some of
you will grow your broad bean in darkness. Which one do you think will
grow better?

Materials:

- Broad bean
- Plastic cup
- Water
- Cotton balls

Procedure:

1. Collect all your equipment: 1 broad bean, 1 plastic cup, half a cup
of water and a half a cup of cotton balls.
2. Place the cotton balls in the bottom of one cup.
3. Place the broad bean seed on the side of the cotton balls so that
it is almost touching the bottom.
4. Pour the water on to the cotton balls until they are just wet.
5. Place your cup with the seed in either the light or dark.

- How often will you need to water your plant?
