Additional infromation for crank pulley installation

The following key point is extracted from a chapter of ENGINE DISASSEMBLY AND REASSEMBLY
in the Service manual SMEFES1E04, SMEFES2E01 and show in bold letters.
INFOMATION

1. Install the crank pulley assembly and

temporarily tighten the crank pulley nut. TAPER SURFACE

NOTE
・Before assembling pulley to crankshaft,
wipe the taper surface of crankshaft and
pulley to remove the oil and dirt.
・When you wipe these parts, use clean paper
with volatile washing liquid.

TAPER SURFACE
2. Lock the flywheel ring gear. Using the socket wrench
(99535Z5007), install the crank pulley nut.

TORQUE
1st: 275 - 294 N･m {28.0 - 30.0 kgf･m, 203 -217 ft･lbf}
2nd: Loosen the nut.
3rd: 834 - 883 N･m {85.0 - 90.0 kgf･m, 615 -651 ft･lbf}

NOTE
･First, tighten the nut then loosen it. Secondly,
retighten the nut to the specified torque.
･Do not leave the pulley temporarily installed
without tightening the nut.
