Report on the work:

Chess Group Primary school FRAN GALOVIĆ, ZAGREB

A joint initiative of the elementary school Fran Galovic and Chess club e4 realized a partnership and
launched the chess group led by chess master Petra Kruljac who teaches children how to play chess
according to the program the "Chess with school".

Students are included in the project "Chess with school", registered in online chess platform and they
received chess books. Chess classes were held every Friday for 3 school hours, on which students
were learning new material one hour, then they were solving tasks the next hour, and then they
would play chess games without time limit the last hour.

During the school year, 72 school hours were done, and all the lessons of the first year of chess,
according to the Kasparov Chess Foundation model, were done.

Tournament results:

04/08/2016. Chess group students performed at the Chess Festival in the Primary School Dragutin
Domjanić, Zagreb. Despite only a few months have passed since the students drew their first chess
moves, they achieved good results, and the Chess group remained notable for the large number of
students (10) who played in the tournament and for their exemplary conduct.
