▣ Check point before power on

Before Power on, for your safety, make sure that Magazine and Gun module (or Gun nozzle )
are located at their proper position. Proper position means that Swing module
is located at ‘ Exchange position’ to prevent collision with Parts feeder bowl when turning
the power on. This is because Main controller sets all output ports as '0' when machine is reset
including power on. Swing module stays at swing to right position (‘ Exchange position’ )
when Swing module output port signal is '0'. If it stays at Parts feeder side and Magazine is set
between Parts feeder division point, it is likely to hit against each other when turning the power
on. In this case, the vacuum holder and cylinder rod will get damage.

CAMS 4H-3P Manual <APRIL, 2009> - 20 - YONGNAM ENGINEERING Co.

Figure 3.22 – OUTPUT menu

Read the Figure which is displayed on vacuum sensor. Let's regard it as n1. Just think its
absolute value (ignore minus sign). Maybe, it will be around 40.
Put the small piece of paper to the end of GUN nozzle. Then vacuum sensor figure will increase
in absolute value. It will be around 80 or more. Let's regard it as n2.
Now you can imagine that n1 is the Figure when GUN nozzle fail to pick up stone from Parts
feeder wheel, and n2 is the maximum figure when GUN nozzle picks up stone successfully.
Maybe it will be a little than n2 when GUN nozzle pick up stone because of vacuum leakage
through the gap between stone and GUN nozzle. Use formula below, figure out P1, P2.

P1=P2-1 , P2=n2-(n2-n1)/3

Press 'MODE' button which is on vacuum sensor. Then P1 will blink. Using Up-arrow button and
Down-arrow button on vacuum sensor, set P1 value you got from formula above.
After setting P1, press 'MODE' again. P2 will be blink. Using Up-arrow button and Down-arrow
button on vacuum sensor, set P2 value you got from formula above.
When GUN nozzle pick up stone from Parts feeder wheel and vacuum sensor reach to P2,
OUT1 LED will be turned on. When OUT1 LED is on, machine regards that GUN nozzle picks up
stone successfully. Once OUT1 LED turns on, it will last until vacuum sensor down to reach P1.
When GUN move down again even though it is holding stone, reduce P2 a little.
When GUN move to Right even though it fails to pick up stone, increase P1 a little.

☞ Normally, set the P1 at about 55.0 and P2 at about 56.0.
