Course Project - Inglés Virtual 3-4

Objective The students will make a video in which they will present some news stories
dealing with health, sports and political issues in our country. They will use a
wide range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, with a variety of sentences and
phrases that make the presentation grammatically correct and coherent.

Methodology Students can work individually or in groups of two or three people. The
presentations will be done accordingly.

First task 5%:


Select the three news stories you are going to talk about (health, sports and
political ones). Look for pictures related to each one of the news stories. Make a
presentation introducing the three news stories and supporting why you decided
to work on them. You need to submit the presentation including the chosen
pictures. This should be submitted by August 31st

Second task 5%:


Tasks and Create a chart in which you answer the following questions: Who?, What?,
submissions When?, Where?, and Why? regarding each one of the news stories information.
Using the answers given to the questions, create a digital newspaper including
each of the news story along with the pictures you have already chosen for each
news story. You need to submit the digital newspaper. The submission should
be done in the tenth week of the course (September 23rd-28th).

Third task 10%:


Make a 5-7 minutes video in which the news stories are presented in a
conversation format. You have to submit the video. The submission should be
done at the beginning of the fifteenth week of the course (October 28th).

For the first and second submissions the evaluation criteria are as follows:

- Students follow instructions to develop tasks and submit them 20 points.


- Ideas presented are relevant according to the topics chosen 20 points.
- Ideas presented are clear and coherent 30 points.
- Grammar and vocabulary are used properly 30 points.

Assessment For the last submission the evaluation criteria is as follows:

- Ideas presented are relevant according to the topics chosen 20 points.


- Ideas presented are clear and coherent 20 points.
- Grammar and vocabulary are used properly 30 points.
- Use of conversation strategies to make speech more fluent 20 points.

- Feedback and assessment from partners 10 points.
