Introduction

This document gives a brief introduction of how to use the COMPAL streetlight management
system. The management system has three major pages, which are Dashboard, Group
Device Setting, and Map View Control. This system is not the final version. Depending on the
field application with different local government, All of the function flow might be changed.

Dashboard
Touchable Space
1. Menu: Go to the group device setting page.
2. Group: Show the group information in the middle map.
3. Statistic Range: Change the statistic range between daily, weekly, and monthly.
4. Next Page: Show the next statistic page to see another timeframe.

# For showing the statistic information, you need to set the heartbeat function in the Group Device
Setting page, or there will always be zero power consumption in the statistic graph.

Group Device Setting

1. Select a group to set its setting.

2. Show devices:
Show the group devices list.

After clicking the show devices button, it will show the device list.

3. Check schedule:
Show the schedule setting of the group.

After clicking check schedule button, it will show the schedule as following.

4. Add Schedule:
Add or remove the group schedule depends on following setting. If you choose Once, the
schedule will only run once. If you choose Weekly, the schedule will run weekly and ignore the
date you set. Weekly schedule will only use the time, which are hour, minute, and second. You
can select up to 8 index. You can set the brightness from 0~255. When the brightness is 0, which
means turn off the device.

Above setting will turn on the device group at 18:00 every Mon., Thu., Wed., Thu., and Fri.

5. Get Group Time:
Synchronize the streetlight time. Devices will synchronize the time when they power on.

6. Set Upload Time:

You can select the upload period in the drop-down menu, and the time system between RTC
clock or system clock. After clicking the Set button, your device will use this upload time to
upload heartbeat message.
i. If check the RTC clock, the system will upload heartbeats depends on the UTC time. We
suggest you use this setting.
ii. If uncheck the RTC clock, it will use system clock. The system will upload heartbeats
depends on system time.

Example:
If you want to get heartbeat message every hour. You can set 1 hour and check RTC clock. And
click the set button.

Map View Control

1. Select a group you want to check.
2. Select the target group or device.
3. Set the brightness of a group or a device.
l There are 4 types of color represent the device’s status. Yellow means turn on the device
correctly. Blue means turn off the device correctly. Gray means the device is off line. Red
means the device is at error status.

Example:
The following setting will turn on the target device group at 255 brightness.
