2. Family circumstance:
Thu’s family is living together grandparent. Currently, her grandparent's health is
weak, and they cannot do anything to help the family. Her grandpa has stomach
pain, grandmother had heart failure, so her parents have to take care of
grandparents and the whole family. Her mother is very hard work to earn money
for her family. In the morning, the mother at home takes care of her children and
family, after lunch she goes to collect scrap until late in the evening, to buy scrap
materials she must ride to the nearby communes about 10km. Sometimes, Thu's
father work as builders for them, this job does not happen often so they earn very
little money from it. The family belongs to poor households, the whole family
only has one acre of land, so there is not enough rice to eat. It is difficult to take
care of normal life for the whole family, while Thu is diagnosed with heart
disease, the family burden is doubled.
When knowing that Thu was sick, the family was very shocked, the family
situation was difficult. From a young age, Thu had a frequent fever, cough and
even a history of bronchitis at 3 years of age, but the family went to see the doctor,
the doctor only gave the medicine without saying anything. Currently, she is in
kindergarten and in the opinion of the teachers at the school shared that she is
quite good and always has high achievements at school, especially she loves
dancing and singing at school and participating in arts at school. Thanks to the
doctors at Hoan My Hospital, they returned to her school for screening, she was
discovered with it by the doctors of Hoan My Hospital in one of their outreaches.
Now, the family is looking forward to receiving early support so that the baby
can perform the surgery.
With these difficulties, the family is not able to pay the high surgery cost. They
really need help to save their little girl. Thanks to the recommendation of doctors,
they wrote an application and are waiting for an answer.
