Greetings from BusinessMirror!

BusinessMirror is turning 14 this October. The past year has been great, not just because
you helped us make it so, but also because BusinessMirror reaped a bountiful harvest of
awards from various prestigious institutions in and out of the media industry, recognition that
affirmed our faith in our work of providing, as always, the “broader look at today’s business.”
We’d like to think such recognition helps us pay back, in a manner of speaking, to friends
like you the encouragement and support you’ve provided all these years.

For our 14th Anniversary Folio this October 10, 2019, BusinessMirror has adopted the
theme Fortuitous@14: Opportunities in a Time of Change. We chose the word “fortuitous”
not just for its phonetic association with “14” but also because, for all the deliberateness and
determination with which BusinessMirror has been publishing since 2005, we’d like to
believe much of the success the paper has enjoyed also owes partly to a certain
congruence of happy circumstance.

This perspective, magnified to the level of the country, and the world, indicates, to us, that
for all the evolving challenges everyone faces from a rapidly changing environment, those
who survive – and beyond surviving, fare spectacularly well – are those who are not only
prepared to face challenges, but are quick to spot and grab the opportunities at hand. Our
anniversary folio will focus on the people, the places, the businesses and sectors and all
forms of communities that best handle such opportunities by making use of all that’s
fortuitous in life.

As always, we hope you continue to join our journalistic journey, sharing in the exhilarating
experience of providing excellent coverage, by way of advertising support for the October
