providing the potential to complement and build on both parties’ strengths; and
protecting the intellectual property of both partners; and
providing the opportunity for further business cooperation and growth; and
ensuring confidentiality of discussions and proposals until otherwise mutually agreed.

6. COMMON APPROACH
Both parties undertake to ensure the integrity of this partnership. Therefore, the Memorandum
of Understanding:
embodies values that emphasise respect, mutual benefit, participation and dialogue;
and
will be characterised by a willingness to work together to resolve differences and
conflict in a manner consistent with the above values; and
will be characterised by open communication between the parties utilising identified
people as contact points; and
promotes the safety and well-being of all people participating in projects or associated
activities; and
ensures that funds and resources designated for projects will be used only for those
purposes and will not be used to:
promote a particular religious adherence; and/or
support terror-related organisations or activities; and/or
support a political party; and/or
promote a candidate or organisation affiliated with a political party
ensures that both parties comply with their applicable codes of conduct and
organisational guidelines.

establish a close working relationship on an equal partnership basis through regular
formal and informal communication and activities; and
assist each other in networking with other relevant organisations.
ensure that project activities are development focused in that they aim to bring about
long term positive change in the communities where we work; and
build relationships nationally and internationally that are based on sustainable
community capacity building.
9. MEMEBERSHIP SUBSCRIPTION
All members are required to pay a membership fee of $9.95 per month for as long he/she
remains to be a partner. In addition, if the member is running a public campaign, the
campaign budget must be paid in full, before the campaign will be activated and published.
All campaigns have a 72 hours out-clause policy. A refund can only be made to the
original payment source. For members that request a refund within this out-clause
period, there will be NO charges.
INTBU (Pty) LTD has a zero tolerance policy for advertisements and sites containing content
that is not appropriate for viewing by a general audience. The following are examples
(including but not limited to) of the type of sites we will not direct visitors/traffic to:
Advertisements and sites with child pornography or sites that contain links to such
content.
Advertisements and sites containing or linking to software piracy.
Advertisements and sites containing or linking to any form of illegal activity (i.e., how to
build a bomb, hacking, ‘phreaking’, etc.).

Advertisements and sites with gratuitous displays of violence, obscene or vulgar
language, and abusive content or content which endorses or threatens physical harm.
Advertisements and sites promoting any type of hate-mongering (i.e., racial, political,
ethnic, religious, gender-based, sexuality-based or personal, etc.).
Advertisements and sites that participate in or transmit inappropriate newsgroup
postings or unsolicited e-mail (spam).
Advertisements and sites promoting any type of illegal substance or activity sites with
illegal, false or deceptive investment advice and money-making opportunities.
Advertisements and sites with any type of content reasonable public consensus deem to
be improper or inappropriate.

11. TERM
This Memorandum of Understanding will be current for one (1) year from the date of signing.

12. REVIEW
The parties will review this Memorandum of Understanding after one (1) year. The parameters
of this review will be agreed by both parties.
13. VARIATION
The parties may vary this Memorandum of Understanding through an exchange of letters
between authorised representatives of the parties.
The parties acknowledge that this Memorandum of Understanding is not intended to have
legal effect and does not create a legal relationship, rights or obligations between the parties.
Additionally, the parties are not joint venturers or partners (in the legal sense of creating joint
and several liabilities and being able to legally bind the other).
Notwithstanding the misuse of the INTBU (Pty) LTD name and logo in Appendix One, INTBU
(Pty) LTD reserves the right to terminate this M.O.U. should such unacceptable use of said
name and logo be determined as prejudicial to the INTBU (Pty) LTD brand.

Appendix One
INTBU (Pty) LTD | International Bureau of Understanding
INTBU (Pty) LTD envisions education and infopreneurship development as a way to empower
and enable poor and marginalized individuals, groups and communities:
INTBU (Pty) LTD is pleased to publicly acknowledge participating partner organizations in the
Membership Program in a variety of ways and understands the mutual benefits of cross
promotion.
INTBU (Pty) LTD will acknowledge partner organizations in relevant publications, web sites,
media and publicity campaigns and at public events with the agreement of partner
organizations. This may involve publication of either partner’s logo in a brochure or on the
INTBU (Pty) LTD Official website. Anything beyond this will be checked and confirmed with
each partner organization.
Equally, INTBU (Pty) LTD has an interest in acknowledgment and appropriate use of the
INTBU (Pty) LTD brand and reputation by partner organizations.
Permission to use the name and logo of INTBU (Pty) LTD for any purpose (web site,
promotion, publication etc.) is always sought, and

INTBU (Pty) LTD is actively involved in the way it is represented (which may include
checking correct logo use, for example)
Approval should always be sought from the INTBU (Pty) LTD | Management Committee for
any use of the name and/or logo.
