Instructions for the participants

In-campus module; Executive Post Graduate Certificate Programmes

Dear Candidate,

Greetings from Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode.

Please find the instructions to the participants attending the in-campus module of the various
one year certificate programmes.

A. In-campus module:

 The in-campus module of the one year long duration certificate programmes are
scheduled as per following schedule

 Attending the In-Campus module is a mandatory requirement to join the programme.

 Please plan your travel to reach IIMK campus at 8.30 AM on the registration date to
complete the registration process. You can plan your return journey after 7:00 PM on the
end date of the in-campus module.

 Detailed day wise schedule of the programme will be communicated to participants at

the time of registration.

 Participants not reporting for registration on the respective date indicted for the
programme will be considered as a drop out from the programme.

 Request for late reporting / leaving early during the in-campus module will not be
considered under any circumstances.

B. Study Material:

Course text books and study materials for the courses in quarter one will be provided by the
Institute during In-Campus. IIMK will provide you with a bag to carry the same.

C. Accommodation:

Accommodation in the campus on direct payment basis is limited & availability is yet to be
confirmed. EPGP office shall communicate the room availability in the campus on or before 17th
December 2018. No request for room reservation will be entertained till such time. Rooms

available shall be allotted on first come first serve basis after announcing the room availability
officially.

In case of non availability of rooms in the campus, participants are requested to opt
accommodation outside the campus. List of decent hotels in the Calicut city will be shared by
the institute. The institute shall provide pick-up /drop facility from these hotels during the in-
campus days. However, the hotel reservation & payment to the hotels needs to be carry out by
the participants themselves.

Participants who opt to stay in the hotel other than listed by the institute or who opt for own
accommodation are required to make own arrangements for commuting to the campus or board
from nearest pick up point communicated by the office after finalizing the pickup/drop route.

D. Dining & Refreshment arrangements at campus:

 Working lunch & AM/PM tea during the programme days will be provided by the institute
.However participants have to make their own arrangements for dining other than the
above.
 Three restaurants (Sarovar, Guruprasad & SUBWAY) are based in the campus and
participants can use the service on direct payment basis.

E. Other Instructions:

 Please bring your personal laptop & scientific calculator, which you may require to use
during the session if advised by the course faculty. Kindly ensure your laptop is not
admin locked; as it may require installing and running course specific third party software
during the In-Campus.
 Office will provide guest access to Wi-Fi connectivity during the in campus days
(Credentials will be shared later).
 Participants are requested to carry a good quality water bottle (Can be used for water
refill) so as to reduce the usage of plastic in the campus.
 There is no specific dress code during the in campus programme. You may opt business
/smart casuals.
 Needless to say, the campus is a green campus, non-smoking and non-alcoholic.

F. Weather at Calicut/Kozhikode

It is the winter season at Kozhikode with intermittent showers. The climate would be pleasant
during this time.

G. How to reach IIMK

The Institute is about 30 minutes (20 kms) from the Calicut railway station, an hour's drive from
the airport (30 kms). Kozhikode is linked to all major cities in India, including Bangalore,
Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, etc.
