Simulation of plug flow reactor in Aspen plus:

1- First of all open aspen plus user interface that looks like this on the status
bar of your computer.

2- Then select plug flow reactor from bottom of the homepage in reactors icon by
clicking on it. Add the input and output streams by clicking on the left side of
material stream icon bar.
3- After this create a new page of components specification by just
minimize the previous page. Enter the components name whose properties
have to b estimated and select the base method PENG-ROB.
4- Enter the next arrow head it looks like this.
5- Now back to simulation environment and enter the necessary data for
feed and product streams in plug flow reactor diagram. For this sake double
click on the stream to enter the data that looks like this….

6- After entering feed and product stream data enter the next arrow on
the status bar at the aspen plus…enter the reactions forward and reverse
reaction with their components as it is..

8- After entering both reactions components the next step is to enter the
reaction kinetics ( pre- exponential factor, and the value of activation
energy) for both reaction.
9- After this enter the next aero on the bar of aspen plus it looks like
this…our simulation is ready.

10- Here it is our final simulation data….
