SEMINAR PROPER

DAY 1

1. Attend the morning mass and anointing: secretariat, sponsoring class, & auxis.

2. PA to arrange/check the seminar hall. Preparation of A/V systems and power points*.

3. Registration
a. Screening of participants based on prerequisites upon registration.
1. Screening committee consist of CC, ACC, & ACs.
2. At least 18 years old.
3. Should be a baptized Catholic and must be a parishioner.
4. Seed participants duly endorsed by the parish priest may be accepted.
5. Should be able to attend the seminar full-time. (Participants who missed
Talks 1 & 2 are not allowed to take the seminar.)

4. Bible Enthronement**/Start of Vigil


a. Voice over – CC “Let us all stand”.
b. Lights out – PA.
c. MM sings ”Lord Jesus We Enthrone You” (Full song, instrumental background
music).
d. Candles.
1. Voice over – Candles.
2. Candle bearers (LC) enter.
3. Place candle at the altar and lights Paschal candle and exit.
e. Flowers.
1. Voice over – Flowers.
2. Flower bearers (ALC) enter.
3. Place flower at the foot of the altar and exit.
f. Bible.
1. Voice over – Bible.
2. Bible bearer – EMHC
3. Places the Bible on the stand at the altar and exits. Everybody will bow.

* Power points to be prepared by DOCU.


** ACC to monitor/supervise the Bible Enthronement, this includes the preparation of
paraphernalia.

g. MM to sing: 'Come Holy Spirit' (Full verse, then hum the song).
h. Opening prayer – LC.
i. MM to sing 'Glory be…'
j. Lights on.

5. LC introduces oneself and the ALC then gives PREX overview and House Rules. Ask
participants for food allergies.
a. Introduction of participants (optional).
b. Introduction of secretariats (optional).

6. LC introduces the speaker of TALK No. 1


a. ALC posts speaker tag and Patron Saint.
b. Staff sharer joins the LC & ALC and listens to the TALK.
c. LC takes down notes of the current TALK.

7. LC posts question and assign groupings.


a. Explain how to answer the question and what to do in small group sharing then
introduces staff sharer for sample sharing.
b. Ask representative from each group for large group sharing.
c. LC sums up the message from the sharing if the speaker is not available.
d. MM sings the requested song from the speaker (optional).
e. FC serves snacks while PA rearranges the venue.

8. DOCU posts groupings for TALK 2.

9. VC prays over the speakers for TALK 2.

10. SB – reviews TALK No. 1 to the additional participants (as the need arises/fast tracking).
a. DOCU prepares the presentation for TALK 2.
b. ALC prepares name tag of the speaker and Patron Saints.

11. LC introduces the speaker of TALK 2.


a. ALC posts speaker tag and Patron Saint.

12. LC posts question and assign groupings.

arrangement (Faith Family - The group chooses their leader ‘Tatay’).

30. LC introduces the speaker of TALK 6.

35. FC serves dinner (participants and secretariat will eat together) while PA arranges the venue for
Healing and Reconciliation Ceremony, collects the PREX Kits and secure the personal belongings of
the participants. DOCU posts the seating arrangement (groupings) and the sign “Only Elders are
Allowed Inside”. VC prays over the DEMO Team. All members of the sponsoring class are
required to attend the vigil. VC to select Elders (for laying of hands/monitoring).

36. PA secures the venue to prevent the participants and non-auxiliaries from entering until told to do
so.

37. MM, elders and the DEMO Team enter the venue ahead of the participants.

38. LC allows the participants to enter the venue and instruct them to refer to the posted seating
arrangement.

39. LC introduces the DEMO Team to the participants. The team leader explains the mechanics of the
ceremony while the members demonstrate. MM, Elders, and DEMO Team should be present in the
seminar hall.

40. The team leader with the help of the elders answers the inquiries of the participants.

41. The Ceremony


a. The LC assigns facilitators per group.
b. LC explains the process of the ceremony.
c. Lights out – PA. Facilitators should be with their group.
d. MM sings 'Come Holy Spirit' and during the humming, the LC leads the
conditioning prayer. After the 'Glory Be…' the LC announces “Let the ceremony
begin”.
e. MM continues to sing appropriate healing songs for the ceremony.
f. Each group facilitator lays hands and sees to it that the proceedings are followed.
(Do not interfere.)
g. Those groups that finished ahead of time should be encouraged to observe silence.
h. Lights on and request the sponsoring class to be in the seminar hall.

i. Elders, staff and sponsoring class with the participants form one big circle and Ate
Lou delivers (closing admonition). Distribute and explain the essence of white
envelope.
j. Everybody sings 'You are My Hiding Place' and 'Jesus You’re My No. 1' with actions
to be taught by the MM.
k. Litany of Saints* to be led by the LC.
l. Renewal of Baptism*.
m. Final instructions.
a. MM sings 'David’s Song' with the participants and during the humming LC leads
the closing prayer.
b. Final song 'Oh I Love You with the Love of the Lord'.

42. Evaluation meeting for Day 2.


a. Deadline of submission of solicitation envelope.
b. Financial status.
c. Palanca.
d. Buy pandesal and prepare fried rice c/o Ampers.
e. Santo Olio.
f. Final draft of directory, parchment paper, clay pot, camera.
g. Mass offerings.

DAY 2

1. PA prepares the venue and DOCU prepares the registration table, and MM prepares different
songs for Day 2.

2. Registration/Serves Breakfast
a. Signing of participants for attendance and DOCU distributes ID’s and notebooks and
collects love offering.
b. DOCU prepares the presentation for TALK 8.
c. ALC posts speaker tag and Patron Saints.

3. Vigil starts and VC prays over the Speakers for TALK 8 and DEMO Team.

4. MM teaches and leads the action songs for the day.

5. MM sings 'Come Holy Spirit' and hum the song and LC leads the opening prayer.

6. LC introduces the speaker of TALK 8.


a. ALC post speaker tag and Patron Saint.
b. Staff sharer joins the LC & ALC and listens to TALK 8.

7. DOCU collects palanca. (12NN – Deadline)

8. LC posts question.

9. FC serves snacks while PA arranges the venue for Anointing Ceremony, collects the PREX Kits and
secure the personal belongings of the participants. DOCU posts the seating arrangement
(groupings). All members of the sponsoring class are required to attend the vigil.

10. PA secures the venue to prevent the participants and non-auxiliaries from entering until told to do
so.

11. MM, elders and the DEMO Team enter the venue ahead of the participants.

12. LC allows the participants to enter the venue and instruct them to refer to the posted seating
arrangement.

13. LC introduces the DEMO Team to the participants. The team leader explains the mechanics of the
ceremony while the members demonstrate.

14. The team leader with the help of the elders answers the inquiries of the participants.

15. The Anointing Ceremony


a. The LC assigns facilitators per group.
b. LC explains the process of the ceremony.
c. Lights out – PA. Facilitators should be with their group.
d. MM sings 'Come Holy Spirit' and during the humming, the LC leads the
conditioning prayer. After the Glory Be… the LC announces “Let the ceremony
begin”.
e. MM continues to sing appropriate healing songs for the ceremony.
f. Each group facilitator lays hands and sees to it that the proceedings are followed and
that the Holy Oil is secured (Do not interfere.)
g. Those groups that finished ahead of time should be encouraged to observe silence.
h. Lights on and request the sponsoring class to be in the seminar hall.

16. Picture taking and Templo.


a. Picture taking.
b. PA clears the floor in preparation for ‘Templo’ and secures the venue to prevent the
participants and non-auxiliaries from entering until told to do so and upon entering,
remove footwear.
c. MM sets the musical instruments.
d. LC and sponsoring class forms a line.
e. LC also instructs the participants to fall in line by 2’s with the banner and removing
their footwear before they enter the seminar room.
f. LC gives the signal for the participants to enter the room at the same time the
sponsoring class clap their hands.
g. The sponsoring class forms a big circle while the participants forming a small circle.
h. Explanation and final instructions will be given by Ate Lou.
i. Templo Proper.
j. FC prepares lunch before the ‘Templo’ ends.
k. Lunch is serve.

17. Segregation of palanca by DOCU. Certificates for signature of CC and Parish Priest. Photos and
class directory, permanent ID, and paraphernalia.

18. PA arranges the seminar room for TALK 9. DOCU prepares the presentation for TALK 9 and ALC
prepares name tags of the Speaker and Patron Saints.

19. Allow the participants to enter the seminar room and sit at their respective family.
a. MM leads the action songs.
b. The LC introduces the speaker.
c. ALC post name tag of the speaker and Patron Saint.
d. Staff sharer joins the LC and ALC and listens to TALK 9.
e. LC takes down notes of TALK 9.

20. LC posts question.

introduces staff sharers for sample sharing.
b. distribute ¼ sheet of paper
c. LC explains what is burning of commitment ceremony and what is to be written.
d. PA set up for burning ceremony.
e. MM sings Come Holy Spirit, hums the song and LC leads the conditioning prayer.
After the prayer, gives the signal to start the ceremony while MM continues to sing
the appropriate songs as the ceremony goes on.
f. The LC makes sure that all the participants participate in the ceremony.

21. VC prays over the Speakers for TALK 10.

22. LC introduces the speaker of TALK 10.

b. LC and ALC and listens to TALK 10.
c. LC takes down notes of TALK 10.

23. LC posts question. Explain how to answer the question and what to do in small group sharing.

24. PA collects notebooks.

25. Election of officers and invitations of different communities, ministries and organizations.

26. Last call for the retrieval of the love offering.

27. LC introduces the next Lead Couple and ALC, presents and acknowledges the sponsoring class.

28. FC serves heavy snacks while the PA arranges the venue for palanca according to the sitting
arrangement of the DOCU.

29. DOCU place palanca envelope on their respective chair. (No palanca shall be entertained after the
envelopes are placed on the chairs and during the ceremony.)
30. Participants are advice to enter the seminar room and are instructed by the LC to occupy the chairs
with envelope containing their names but not to open it.

31. Sit, relax and listen to the instruction of the LC regarding the palanca ceremony.

32. Palanca Proper


a. Corsage - PA distributes the corsage to the sponsoring class and instructing them
that all the participants should be pinned
b. MM sings David’s Song for the conditioning prayer and after, the LC gives the cue to
open the palanca envelope while MM continues to sing the appropriate songs. (Staff

& sponsoring class should observe silence while the participants are reading their
palanca. No unnecessary movements.)
c. MM sings 'Welcome to the Family' and at the same time the sponsoring class and
staff pins the corsage and congratulates and hugs the graduating participants.
d. LC gives final instructions:
1. Post PREX schedule – Wednesday after graduation.
2. Assigning of mass “offerers” and informing them that they are joining the
processional march and their reserve seats.
e. Graduation is after the mass.
1. The parish priest distributes the certificates thru the endorsement of the
LC.
2. The parish priest shall be assisted by the ALC, CC, ACC & AC.
3. Picture taking.
f. PA arranges the seminar room and disposes the waste properly. PC secures the
properties of PREX.
g. Kape-kape afterwards.

DAY 3 (POST PREX)

1. Songs and opening prayer.

2. Outgoing LC introduces Incoming LC for TALK 11.

3. DOCU distributes notebooks and pens for Talk proper.

4. LC posts question.
a. Explain how to answer the question and what to do in large group sharing.
b. LC encourages the graduates to say something about PREX.
c. LC distributes ¼ sheet of paper and explains what to do.
d. DOCU collects the ¼ sheet of paper and surrenders it to LC.
e. Large group sharing.

5. Incoming LC prepares the sponsoring class.

6. Snack.

7. Closing prayer, dismissal.
