Strategic Forecast Senior Analyst

Essential Responsibilities

This senior manager will provide insights and recommendations from forward-looking
analyses such as long-range planning and scenario analyses for a $6Bln Revenue
Business comprise of two different Business cycles: A long term cycle New Unit
Business and a short-term cycle Service Business.

He will be the primary owner of maintaining and report revenue backlog data and
expected revenue for the next 10 years from current contractual relationships.
Since Steam Power revenue model is highly complex and dependent on several dynamic,
macroeconomic factors, he will play a crucial role in helping senior leadership
understand our future financial picture in order to make key decisions. This
position will report to the Sr. Director of FP&A.

Key responsibilities

Defines, owns, runs and improves the overall budgeting; forecasting process and
lead the overall governance of the planning cycle.
Build and constantly maintain a long-term company financial plan covering a
complete management P&L. This includes deeply understanding the business unit and
field strategies, and the creation of a driver-based model considering external
(e.g. market growth, economy trend) and internal factors (e.g. Oder in backlog,
productivity, pricing, customer traction, product life-cycle stages).
Provide leadership quarterly long-range planning efforts including revenue to
CM (contribution margin) forecasts, structural cost planning and cash flow to drive
strategic decisions.
Partner strongly with regional FP&A and Project Controls teams to create
integrated process between long range planning and period to period cost.
Based on the long-range plan, develop relevant scenarios reflecting, e.g.
product mix changes, growth plans, economic changes, competitive situations.
Identify implications of these scenarios to Sales to CM, OP profit, and develop
recommendations.
Develop the Long -range Plan storyline and key content for the CEO and CFO's
communication with Corporate HQ and major events (e.g. company all-hands).

Role Summary/Purpose

Through the automation and development of financial modelling and reporting


analysis and the overall governance of planning processes, this role will be
responsible for effectively communicating key drivers of financial performance and
ensure alignment of the FP&A strategy with business requirements.
You will be a leader in orchestrating and own the medium to long-term financial
forecast and analysis working within the team to improve and build robust
processes.

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor or Master in Finance or equivalent knowledge or experience


Strong experience in Financial planning, especially in forecasting
Strong experience in Power generation industry, especially on complex PowerGen
projects
Advanced user of Microsoft Office suite
IT savy in further ERP tools (especially SAP FI/CO)
Fluent English
Good communication and presentation skills at all levels of an organization
(e.g including exposure to senior management)
Proven experience in working in a multi-cultural environment

Desired Characteristics

Proven experience in a services-related field


Another European language (e,g French, German, Italian) is a plus
Solid experience in project controlling is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience in a global organization is a plus
Good handling of Oracle and Hyperion
